Zeke went downhill way to fast. He should still be playing on Derrick Henry's level.
He still has heart and desire but why did that speed decline so rapidly?
He rarely breaks tackles anymore and can be brought down by the slightest grab of his legs.
Henry split time with Murray for two years. That preserved his body. He also has a great line today and had one in 2026,

I don't really like any running back who averages 3.8 YPC on 200+ carries.
Why are you cherry picking stats?

He has a 4;4 career average. What is Emmits? 4.2.

You would hate emmitt too. How does that make any sense to you?

It doesn't. Make any sense. You just think it's cool and really in the know to hate Zeke,.

They need to stop overlooking the bad blocking. This line doesn’t open many holes. Watch the haves. See how many times zeke gets hit before even gaining a yard. Yeah he lost a little speed. But the man gets hit hard every game: it’s hard to have burst when you’re constantly hit either the first yard. Give him better left guard play abd watch him look way better.

I'd use him
just short yardage/goaline
Pollard and Davis give u big play potential with every touch.
You can't discount Zeke's blocking on passing downs either though and he still knows how to catch the ball.

Murray has been gone from Tenn for several years now ... what's preserving Henry's body right now ..?

Bonus note .... 2026 year is not here yet, ...

A lot of negativity for Zeke.. and in some ways he deserves it.. but I actually think this franchise has killed a potential HOF RB.

Zeke was on fire in 2016.. one of the most dominate seasons by a RB in history.. let alone a rookie.. So dominate that it made Dak look so good he got rookie of the year (what a joke then and still!!)

Then he had the troubles with suspension but still turned in a decent 2017.

Then we saw the hold out, the decline in fitness and there was a change in philosophy for our OC.. and we all but ignored the run. Zeke was still producing but not in big numbers. We asked him to bulk up and we tried to 'impose our will' at the line.. and Zeke was taking hits from the heart of the D Line on every run.

Then he had a clear injury but we needed him so we sent him out on one leg for almost a whole season.

Then this year he was in GREAT shape at the start of the season.. was hitting holes and looking good.. but we have a pass happy OC that doesn't know how to scheme a run game.. and had decided that Zeke only gets the ball for tough runs up the middle.. and both Zeke and Pollard were playing complimentary football.

Then our OLine gets blown up, our OC has regular and damaging brain fades.. and Zeke AND Pollard have both looked bad for the last 3 or so weeks. Not surprisingly.. Zeke bears the brunt of the hostility on here.

Zeke is slower.. no doubt about it.. has no home run potential.. he is a sledge hammer. Why we are playing him on slow developing sweeps hoping to get to the edge.. beyond stupid. There is still a role for him IF he signs a very team friendly contract but otherwise he is just another RB that got chewed up and spat out by overuse. Lot of people hated Zeke because of the hold out.. but in the end he is showing why he did. RBs have a short shelf life.. gotta make the dollars while you can. I still think Zeke has something left to give in the league.. but I'm not sure it will be with the Cowboys.

He came in the league the same year as zeke. Zeke was the starter for two years longer. Also Henry missed more games should hsvj g a better line. Is it a surprise he has more left after taking g less hits for two more years?

This is the playoffs. Shouldn't we feature Pollard the Pro Bowler and rotate the #2 and #3 rb around him ???

Why does that sound the most logical???? Hmmm

That was year 2016 ,.. not 2026.

Despite Henry's freakish size/speed ratio and stellar college career, he slipped into the 2nd rd. because of the skepticism of Bama RBs ..being too staight-line-ish
and better college than NFL - Trent Richardson bust status may have started that trend until Steelers took Harris in the 1st rd. two years ago.

Since 2018, Henry has had 1464 carries
while Zeke has had 1317 carries

Maybe he has an undisclosed injury......remember earlier in the year he took helmet to the thigh and it looked like he hyperextended his knee......he's lost that quickness from earlier in the year after that one play.

At one pint, zeke looked fast again. The. When Steele went out, he looked slower. We really need him to be fresh abd fast in the playoffs: he’s stronger abd tougher. We’ll need that to make it to the superbowl.
He sucks. His speed never comes. If we have any chance pollard needs to be featured.

I'm ready for more Malik Davis tbh. I think Zeke is washed except in goal to go situations.

Zeke missed 6 games in 2017 due to suspension

Henry didn't start and share carries with Murray his first 2 years.

So carries and starts were taken away from them for somewhat reason or another.
