Buccaneers don't deserve to go to the playoffs

That's how the rules are now. But I'm allowed to be for changing the rules. I don't want any team in the playoffs who couldn't manage to get a winning record in the regular season. If the Cowboys can't do it, then I don't feel they deserve to be in the playoffs. This year the entire NFC Sloth deserved to have to stay home.
That's entirely your opinion.

I believe most people have the same opinion as myself, that it's a simple rule that most everyone can live with, added I don't think it's worth the potential headache for the NFL to cater to your wish.

End of the day, I'm certain throughout the years some fans have always complained that their team didn't make the playoffs when another team with a less superior record did make the playoffs.

Win your division, you're in. Pretty simple.

Heck, one can argue that if you don't win your division, you shouldn't be in the playoffs.

You're under no obligation to agree with me, of course. I just call it how I see it. Agree to disagree.

the NFL wanted a league where nearly every team gets in. The game is watered down as a result. We have to live with it. That said, the Brady factor is real, and if the Bucs win, the NFL will look like geniuses.

Don't tell me I don't get to be against an NFL rule I don't like. The whole point of a site like this is we get to talk about the sport. I still hate the 1978 bump and run rule and want that repealed. I think a team should only make the playoffs if it actually has a winning record. I think that's a reasonable standard. If no team in a division has a winning record, then that division should simply be unrepresented in the playoffs. The next team in the wildcard hunt, if it has a winning record, should make the playoffs instead.
Since we're giving opinions, I'll give mine. Why is a winning record a reasonable standard? Playoffs are supposed to be a contest among the best teams based on the regular season. I never though 9-7, 8-8, or even now 9-8 or 10-7 deserve to make the playoffs. Yet they do.

Someone else mentioned, only 6 times since 1970 was there a .500 or under division winner. This will be the 7th. Six out of the seven times happened since 2008. The realignment started in 2002. The NFL has too many 4 team divisions. That's the problem.

They pulled everyone in their last game, only reason they were 8-9. Div was sewn up.

And the Jags would've been the 8th if not for some major luck.

You mean the Titans. And yes, the Titans had that game just about wrapped up. The Jags got lucky to win that game.

The rules are set before the season starts whoever gets in gets in fair and square. If they changed the way to get into the playoffs mid season then it would be unfair.

They certainly played like they did not belong and I so loved seeing that whiny brat Brady look so bad.

He looked bad. I'm glad the Cowboys finally made him look bad. He made a lot of business decisions in that game. A lot of them.

What cracked me up is when the posted a stat on how Brady never throws an interception in the redzone. What was it, like 2 plays later he throws an interception in the redzone.

watching brady both look like and act like a schmuck was so great; nearly as good as the Boys winning.

I'm not for changing the rules immediately. I'm for changing them in the upcoming offseason. You're right. It wouldn't be fair to start the season with one set of rules and then change them mid-season.

That's the point. I don't like the rules and want them changed. I'm not saying they should ignore the existing rules.
I'd say get used to it. Think of what will happen when they add an 8th team. We'll eventually see 8-9 wildcard teams. It doesn't make the game any better by adding 9-8 teams to the playoffs.
