If we Don't get home to Purdy really quick and I mean quick, they can carve up the zone. I'm very curious of what DQ is going to throw out there to confuse the rookie, you have to make it difficult for him, is just too easy right now, almost video game easy for Purdy.

I would play a mixture of man and zone and go with 6 DB's, Diggs, Bland, Kearse, Mukuamu, Wilson and Hooker, hope my front five can get to Purdy and rattle him early. Blitz him with a DB from the blind side, hit him early.

Another thing, everybody says we should defer if we win the coin toss, not against this team, take the ball and drive it down the field for a long score, even if it's a FG, our best chance against this offense is to keep it on the bench, get ahead and force them to play catch up, maybe then their rookie QB will feel the pressure and make some mistakes.

To me teams are respecting the wrong options
  • Forget McCaffrey or the fullback on a go route/out routes they are decoys IMO and Purdy isn’t going there on anything but blown plays.
  • I think you can leave Ayuik on an island with Diggs because Purdy isn’t chancing his arm on a ball hawking CB.
  • That leaves the crossing routes, run and flats to cover with the crossing routes the biggest threat. To me Hooker is the key and has to be prepared to come up and make plays, Purdy isn’t Mahomes and I think will hesitate/struggle to punish an empty backfield, especially if it’s disguised pre-snap.

To me you have to play bump and run again and shut down all the short stuff. That’s what they live on, YAC. If somehow we can slow the running game down a tad I like our chances.

Maybe they'll read their own press clippings n come thinking they're entitled to win.

Go Cowboys!

Jimmy G was QB. Since Purdy took over 9ers average 30+ per game.
Saints game had less to do with who played QB and more about them stuffing the Niners rushing attack. Held them to 3.3 ypc versus their usual 4.7.

Take away the run - easier said than done - and the offense looks much different. The Cowboys were unable to do that in last year's game.

Love the Warner break downs.

DQ has to take some risks and calculated risks. committ a lot to stop the run, which means leaving his DBs in an island at times. ensure they can contain McCaffrey and the swing passes to the outside. I think our LBs are fast enough to contain the edge. the key will be how to utilize Parsons, as he can get to the edge to contain, but then he is also your best pass rusher. I think we need to committ to stopping the run on first downs. force them into passing situation and then hope Parsons, Lawrence and Osa can create pressure. playing man is risky, so Safties come into play a lot. if we don't generate pressure, there could be big plays to have, but its one of those big reward, big risk situations. can they consistently make big plays. all we need is a few bad plays from them to slow them down and force them to punt. Wilson is going to play a big role, as he will be a big key in reading the offense and reacting, either help contain the runs to the outside, having to get through trash or dropping back to the middle and helping on containing kittle and Deebo. DQ won't know until the game happens and see how his players are doing. playing zone, is tough against SF, as they are very good at attacking the zone.

Wasn't SF missing something like half their defensive starters when they played KC?
Yeah, but weve been missing a lot of starters too, we didnt get an excuse and they dont either.

They are the real no deal and the class of the NFC…..but in one game anything is possible….but not probable, unfortunately

they’ve built a great team out there on the west coast…..the city of San Francisco doesn’t deserve them
