forgive me...who the heck is Rob Davis, and what role did he have with us??
this is McCarthy's closest coach here. He was with him for a decade in GB. He was McCarthy's guy in the Packers front office...director of player development...helped with the locker room and other things also.

People also don’t understand that cash in the bank plays a massive role on signing free agents

Players don’t sign for IOUs. They want money , they want a lot, and they want it now. It can be spread over years to have a smaller impact on the cap. But you need the actual cash in the bank to sign huge contracts.

Except if you are the largest franchise in the world. Then you just hoard the cash and sign nobody.

this could also be McCarthy's moment to resign. Being forced to fire your close coaches probably is not ideal. Especially with a family of tyrants running the operation.

I wonder if he has a baseball bat to walk to his car with...

He's only sacking coaches whose deal has expired. Coaching matters so little to him the deciding factor is whether or not he has to pay the guy, as he tries to create the illusion he's making changes.

He and his organization are a fraud.

personally I think Quinn either is promoted to HC or takes a job elsewhere, I don't see these moves being made for Sean Payton
Interesting. Has any of these moves caused you to think DQ is the guy or is it a gut feeling?

Does having the assistant head coach position vacant allow the Cowboys to poach another team's coordinator since also making him the assistant HC is a promotion?

I think that's how it used to work. Not sure now.
Good point.

You're salty.

What we're seeing right now is the release of the bondage that had held us back the last 27 years.

It's a new day in Dallas.
