So it's "we're almost there" then?

So it seems like they're going with the "we're almost there" approach. QB stays, RB1 and 2 stay, old OL guys stay... Will the TE1 stay too? Oh, but we're trying something else with the kicker! Jerry the gunslinger GM.

What do you guys think of this approach? Would you have preferred a bigger shake up on the players side? Or is this squad so full of talent, that we just need new coaches to get the most of it?

I'd have preferred a bigger shake up, but there's always the elephant in the room, Dak's contract. Without change on that position you couldn't start rebuilding anyway.

But if they really mean it, they have to sign at least another top dog WR. None of this digging through the scrap yard anymore.

So with that being said, as long as we're stuck with Dak, I guess it makes sense to keep this line up together for at least those two more years, right? Right?

This is their approach every year. What we did last season, or the current roster doesn't matter. We could "almost be there", or be a .500 team. It's the same approach.

All they do is build through the draft. They use FA to fill holes. Like when you buy a product and it says, batteries not included. During FA they buy the batteries. So don't expect much there.

We only need to take a few more steps.

Well last year it looked like they were giving up on the season trading Coop, Wilson leaving in FA, and releasing Collins. It looked bad and yet Mike still won 13 games. We have good coaches here between Mike, DQ, and Bones. They don’t want to rebuild just reload.

Anytime they've ever asked Prescott to do more he's flopped spectacularly. Now they're asking that stiff to learn a new offense. If you don't already know the outcome you're clueless.
So, are they going to dumb it down for him?

JJ and SJ don’t really know how to put together a championship roster. We have nearly three decades of evidence. Our two best hopes are that they listen to some good advice from Will McClay and that Lady Luck has sweet mercy on us and we get lucky next year.

"Almost there" ......Booger sells it as HOPE. Get it while it's hot.

Sounds like after a week of yachting and Walker Blue, the 2 things standing in the way of a Super Bowl are the kicker and the OC.
