CFZ Really believe the Cowboys should follow the 49ers template or their offense!

The only way to succeed is to not allow Dak to change the plays at the line and make complex decisions. Give him brain dead plays that require check 1 check 2 dump. Nothing more. He’s not mentally or physically capable of doing what most intelligent qb’s can do.

Having a dominant run game is not flashy enough for Jerry. Those run-first teams like the ones from the early 1990’s were just not exciting enough for the Jones family.
You completely mis-understand Jerry on this point.

He's over-paid more worthless dollars to running backs than most anyone. And still seems to fetishize Zeke.

Epic fail. Try again.
You are treading on my trademarks, bro.

My line for years around here: "Insert Coin. Try Again"
My patented word: "Epic" I own the copyright. Even small Thai children must pay me fractional cash if they say a word that sounds like "Epic".

Last few days I've seen you adopt both the line and the word, mixed'n-match

In the words of Heisenberg: "Stay out of my territory."

Prescott is not accurate enough to feast on yards after the catch.
Correct. Dak typically makes his WRs work extremely hard for the catch, breaking stride to reach behind them or climbing the ladder to get to one Dak has sailed. YAC requires that you hit a receiver in stride.

Time-limit elapsed before I could correct the last sentence.

Only two teams averaged around 25 passes per game: Bears and Falcons.

Others of note (pass attempts per game):
49ers, 30
Eagles, 32
Cowboys, 33
Bengals, 36
Chiefs, 38

4 of 5 pass-happiest teams made the playoffs
4 of 5 most pass-averse teams didn't make the playoffs
What a shocking revelation! Teams that have excellent rosters make the playoffs. In the meantime, Tom Brady, who lead the league in pass attempts and completions, had a losing record.

Which tells me you have to have a good qb lol. Dak can get us to the playoffs but that is his ceiling.

We don’t have the playmakers on offense. CeeDee is an elite talent and maybe the best in the biz after the catch. Pollard is very good too, but might not be back. The 49ers are loaded with playmakers and have a better O-line. You can’t just “follow” something. While we’re at it, let’s follow their D-line too.

Take the ball out of Dak Prescott’s hands, make him throw very selectively on certain plays. A punishing run game that moves the chains on first and second down limiting the need for 3rd and longs only way Dak can be effective.
.....then we need to address the hidden OL problems.

The OL is the hard part and we are probably 1 interior player away. Finding a FB not difficult, skilled positional players are probably the easiest. We already have our Deebo lite in Lamb, Kittles was a mid rd pick, this year's class is loaded, finding a strong #2 is probably the biggest need to address.

I don’t know if they’ll get there but I do think that is Mikes intentions. BTW when people say throw less to help Dak. That helps ANY QB. The game plan when Rush was starting was the smart game plan regardless of QB. Ball control, keep your defense fresh. All these “analytics” folks seem to overlook a very simple logical stat. The fewer possessions your opponent gets, the less chance of scoring they will have. Period. Parcells won 10 games with an XFL caliber roster in 2003 by following this mindset. Its just smart football.

This is the most prevailing myth on this forum. This stuff does not work, boys!

The only teams that averaged less than 30 passes a game this season?

Falcons--losing season
Bears--losing season
Ravens-lost Wild card round
Panthers--losing season
Titans--losing season

Only woeful Bears and Falcons average less than 30 passes...and why? They have no QB and no shot.
25 isn't realistic. But I think his point is keep the passing attempts minimal, which absolutely can work if you have a good team, e.g. SF had the 6th fewest attempts per game this year and the 2nd fewest last year. TEN was 7th fewest last year and did well. Now whether that formula can get you over the hump to a championship I agree is an open question.

Kittle was a mid round pick. He’s only the second best Te in the nfl and almost impossible to duplicate.

It's a great, deep TE class this year. The likes the Kittles, Kelce, Gronk were all not first rd picks. There is a very good chance we can get a good one this yr.

Keep dak at 25 or less attempts a game and power running. I like it and I think we can win this way
And we've always been a run-centred franchise. So, I'm all for this. I love the power running game. Incorporating it into the WCO is a brilliant idea.
