"I've got all the faith in the world we can win this thing with Dak," Jones said from the scouting combine in Indianapolis."

Why?

"Because we know him. We know what he's about. His leadership skills are undeniable. Impeccable work ethic," Jones said. "Other than he hadn't won some key playoff games, he's everything you want in a quarterback. From the day he walked in the door, he's won a lot of games. We just got to get over the hump."

Prescott is set to count $49.2 million against the 2023 salary cap. He is signed through 2024. If the Cowboys restructure Prescott's contract this year, they can create up to $22 million in cap space. With an extension, they could create even more room.

"We've got to have a plan to ultimately extend Dak," Jones said.

:facepalm::facepalm:

The fact that you have to say these things every year to try and convince people tells you there is a problem.

I also like how the follow up to him saying that is "Why?" lololololol

Please tell me the reporter asked him "Why?" lololol

90% of us is that reporter.

No lies were told. You can win with dak, I have no issues with that. The better question is how. If you extend the guy you might as well go all in this year, and actually take advantage of the low cap hit.

What I can’t see is keeping things status quo again and expecting different results. It’ll be 10-12 wins with a playoff loss as soon as we take on an elite team.

Win what thing Stephen?
3rd in the division next year?

I missed , arm , accuracy, seeing receivers, cool under pressure.

Minor stuff right Stephen?
That's one heck of a big hump.

He has to get fans pumped for those continued jersey sales. They will make a slight modification so the Dak faithfuls will go buy another jersey.

Myself, I don't buy any jersey's.

Its the same ole Jerry with the same liking 'our guys'. He rarely admits he's was wrong, which is the 27 year legacy.
"Leadership skills are undeniable" ...well unless something isn't going exactly to plan (maybe in a close play-off game).

Wouldn't you like to hear gosh? We really screwed up when we paid Dak now we're stuck.

sorry!

The entire division just let out a collective

yee ha!
If Dak is extending we should all be hoping that he plays so horrible that they have no choice but to address the position of QB.

We're never winning anything with Dak, so it's time to hope for embarrassing failure.

Listening to this tells me they are going to extend him another year or two which would be just past MM next two and maybe one year with a new coach if there's a change. In other words, his 2024 out gets push 2025 or 2026 in exchange for new guaranteed money.

Just 1 click, huh?
Chiefs have Mahomes and Dallas has Dak that put them 5 to 6 clicks behind. There's no comparison and this guy is talking about regular season games, it's about the Playoffs genius.

Got to have a plan? So, they don’t already have a plan?

Not surprising since theit management strategy is “we will worry about that when we have to”.
