Why no to Pitts?
I watched around four Falcons' games last season. Marcus Mariota did not do him any favors but it seem like he occasionally struggled catching some good passes. I do like his route running ability though. Perhaps I will change my mind after seeing him get another season under his belt (and a new quarterback).

If y'all recall, they interviewed Pitts with no shot at drafting him and Booger could not say enough about him. He was all in on Pitts.

I don't know how much the Falcons would like to move on from Pitts, but Cowboys GM should be on the phone checking this out. Who do you guys prefer, all things considered, out of Hopkins, Beckham, Smith-Njigba n Pitts?

NO thanks. We need to fix the Oline and the running backs first. Much more important.

If there is willingness to draft Kincaid, Mayer, or Washington in the first, then I'd send a late first for Pitts and would not hesitate.
It usually takes tight ends a year or two to get used to the game. Dude was productive his rookie year, and then had Mariota last year, along with not seeing as many downfield targets as previously.

Between Hopkins, OBJ, and JSN; if you can guarantee JSN at our pick, I want JSN.
Then probably Hopkins, he still has some game, and a QB who can see over the line would help a lot with him. But that contract is steep.
OBJ had that downfield game to him, but at what point do you look at his injuries and wonder, does he still got it?

JSN
Pitts

Hopkins
OBJ

I'd also be interested to see what the Jets would take for Elijah Moore.

Not sure if pitts is just a bust or qbs in Atlanta we’re that bad. If we can him for cheap, I would give him a shot.

Hopkins? Yes.
Smith-Njigba? Definitely.
Pitts? No.
Beckham? Hell no.
The advantage of OBJ is he doesn’t cost picks
He wouldn’t be my first choice
If I was GM I’d be on the phone to the Bucs inquiring about Evans myself
If I’m giving picks I’d rather have him over Hopkins

This isn't the first time I've seen blue checks on Twitter hint that Atlanta would move Pitts for the right offer. Anyone know what that's about?
In the article it talks about how the Falcons HC Arthur Smith (former Titans OC) prefers a better blocking TE for his run heavy scheme.

At 26, Smith could get TE Darnell Washington..just saying.

Jet are looking to release WR Braxton Berrios. Wonder if that means they have plans to keep Moore as the clear option at Slot WR. No interest in Berrios, on your part?

Disadvantages of OBJ:
  • Has had two major knee injuries and will be 31 next season. (He’s missed 34 Reg season games the last 4 seasons- not exactly what I would call reliable)
  • His cost is greater than his performance value.
  • His performance has consistently declined.
    • In his 5 yrs with NYG, he avg 78 receptions and about 10 TDs per season.
    • In the 4 seasons since he left NYG, he has averaged 35 receptions a season and 4 TDs per season.
  • He had some good games with the rams, including a couple good games in the playoffs.
  • But honestly, he’s more a big name than a big producer now.

Knowing what this team does in free agency, I would like to see them sign D.J. Chark AND JuJu Smith-Schuster AND draft a receiver early.

This gives Dallas options before they need to re-sign CeeDee Lamb; and if they take a WR at 26 overall they will have him for five years on his rookie deal.

Pitts? It's only been one year. Doubt they'll move on from him.

I would expect at a minimum a 1st rounder for pitts if not multiple picks like a 1st and 4th.

Seriously, he's a match up disaster. I can only imagine a guy like that in a WCO, as Daks relief valve.
If he is not going to block you can get similar production with a slot guy.
