The Chicago Bears on Wednesday bought the property that they’ve been sizing up for a new enclosed stadium in suburban Arlington Heights.

The Bears announced that they paid $197.2 million for the 326-acre plot.

I think this first began to surface in the 80's. To be blunt in this age of the NFL, Soldier Field is simply not profitable enough and nothing can really be done about it.

Too much city involvement. IE - Maintenance / Taxes / Ect...
Better left in private hands to control their own revenue flow.

Excellent, ans it's not far from Rosemont where I go every year for a con. Hope to see them play the Cowboys there sometime during con weekend.
