They can ask whatever they want, but that doesn't mean they will get it. In a negotiation, you always start the bidding higher than expected, but end it where the seller still makes out and the buyer feels like they got good a deal.

That could surely be so. They might try but it remains to be seen if teams are willing to pay that much just before the draft. Not a good time to ask that much. Here's hoping we aren't willing to pay so much, instead of something more realistic.
With Hopkins asking for a 2nd, they would have better luck tossing quarters against the curb away from rain drains.

Since you have to pay Lamb soon, any WR addition has to be a reasonably priced veteran or come through the draft. Thats just the way it is. Don't think it would sit well with Lamb if you bring in someone making big money and tell him he needs to wait for his.

Uhh no thanks. Why would I trade a pick for him when I can draft something just as good and have a fresh rookie deal?
I’m not opposed to that but the reason you give up a puck is we are in win NOW and not sure we want to wait for the learning curves from college to pro

Now WR don’t have steep learning curve but there is an adjustment

My fear with Juedy is his immaturity

Sounds like the Broncos have the same ludicrous expectations on draft compensation as the Jets. Both seem to be headed towards the same bottom half of the AFC purgatory.

Not sure you can get a guy just as good at 26
That’s the perfect scenario but at the cost of WR’s today, I expect them to get picked over fairly early

Why exactly would they trade Jeudy for anything less than a haul?

Why not build around him? Unless Payton specifically doesn’t like him, but he is young, plays well and his best days are ahead.

Only way it makes sense is if they sign a couple of FA WR and look to use the picks to improve elsewhere….but anything less than a first, plus, should be a non starter for them.

What would he command in salary? I wouldn't give up a #1 pick, but Jeudy is a decent player- proven and young. I'm not sure the Cowboys will be able to draft a WR that's any better, and certainly not after round 1.

Would the Broncos take a 3rd and an aging RB?

I would do a 3rd, not sure the Broncos would, but Jeudy needs to be comfortable understanding its only for 2 years and then he is a free agent.
