That’s fine and they very well could.

And it would be another draft for need instead of value if they were trying to cover themselves at LG.
I don’t think taking Schmitz would be a need pick. He may very well be a top 20 player on their board. Athletically he’s not a super prospect, but the tape is elite. I’d put it up against any OL in this draft and it holds up. It’s fair to say you don’t agree with their ranking. Just means they value the player differently than you.

Maybe, but we have no idea how they’re ranking him.

Right now - consensus is he isn’t a 1st rounder. I like him a lot just not in the 1st.

I guarantee you there will be at least a few players on their board in the top 20 that don’t match the experts. Doesn’t mean that they’ll pick one. But very possible.

Easily, can probably say the same for every team.

But I would say those players are the outliers not the norm.
