Presume you (and J-man's response) mean comparing to Zeke's rookie year abilities?

Zeke was a lot better prospect IMO.
  • 4.47 40 at 225... basically the same time as Bijan but 10 lbs heavier. Size-speed combo is the most predictive athletic test for RBs, and Zeke smashed it.
  • Even better college production. More yards and a higher YPC against better competition. Alabama shut down Bijan. Zeke legendarily shredded them.
  • Ohio State Zeke was a pass blocking savant, and I still don't know if I've seen a college RB as good as him. Bijan rarely blocked, and when he did, he wasn't on Zeke's level.
The only point you can really make for Bijan is that he looks like he may have potential as a downfield receiver, which Zeke never really showed.

Bijan comps pretty closely to Breece Hall from last year IMO. A little less athletic... Hall ran sub-4.4 at the same weight. But both pure runners with huge production in the same conference.

Combine Results

Zeke 6' 225 pounds 31-1/4" arm 10-1/4" hand 4.47 time in 40-yard dash 1.5 seconds 10-yard split 32-1/2" vertical jump 9'10" broad jump

Bijan 5'11" 215 pounds 31-1/8" arm 9-3/4" hand 4.46 time in 40-yard dash 1.52 seconds 10-yard split 37" vertical jump 10'4" broad jump

Based solely on measurables Zeke is a bigger back with bigger hands. That said, the two backs are similar in arm length, 40 time, and 10-yard split. The areas that 'jump' out are Bijan's much stronger lower body in his vertical and broad jumps.

In terms of college stats:

Zeke 592 attempts 3,961 yards 6.7 ypc 43 td's 58 catches 449 yards 7.7 ypc 1 td

Bijan 539 attempts 3,410 yards 6.3 ypc 33 td's 60 catches 805 yards 13.4 ypc 8 td's

While of course facing different competition in a different era, Zeke was the slightly more accomplished runner but Bijan was more of a dual-threat RB based on his catching ability.

At the end of the day, given Pollard's 1-year franchise tag and injury recovery, if Bijan is there Dallas should grab him as he would possibly secure the running back position for the next 4 years on a rookie contract.

While they play the same position they are completely different prospects.

Zeke, as a prospect, possessed a unique blend of size, speed, balance, and power. Zeke was/is very technical in the way he run. Very, very good at "pressing the hole", making a cut, and going.

Bijan is more of a modern back. I compare him to Austin Ekler or a shifter LT. An elite pass catcher, he has a great change of direction and burst. Limited top-end speed when compared to the "elite".

I looked these up after writing but I think they confirm the above.

Zeke's NFL.com prospect grade was 7.3 "Perennial All-Pro", Bijan is 6.84 "Year 1 Starter"

I’m an alumni and I have to say that Bijan is a better down field dual threat than Zeke.

Zeke was better in pass protection but not a strong down field dual threat. I hope Dallas drafts Bijan!!! Can you imagine Bijan and Pollard in the backfield?

There is no way this talent will be there at 26, so no need to worry, either way

Same tier they are both regarded as generational talents
Not to argue but if they so generational why does a great back come out every or every other year. The generational talent is to be determined.. Pitts was supposed to be.. But Micah is. There’s examples every year. Let’s put the Generational Talent Anointing Oil away..

I see Elliott as slightly more physically gifted that year.

However, I see Bijan as having a little better run instincts and vision than Zeke. He is just a little bit more of a natural runner.

Honestly, I really don’t see either as a “generational” talent. But they were both obviously very good.

Zeke was a better prospect. Pretty sure Robinson sucked on the big stage in college.

no guru but IMHO, he's as good and probably a little better prospect. I think he's a better pure runner, more athletic with great hands. As powerful and as good a blocker are about equal.
more athletic then a player in college who also ran hurdles in track and put up how many 200 yard games in championship games and had blue chip college career. Zeke was ridiculous in college, maybe fans forget, but as college career goes Zekes was more impressive,

Both played 3 years but zekes year one he only got 30 carries on deep backfield averaged 8.7 YPC then had 2 straight seasons over 1800yards per, so zeke nearly put up 4k yards 44tds in 2 seasons at 6.7 YPC
BR had 3 season at 3400 yards 33tds and averaged about the over 6 as well.

4.46 vs 4.47 40s i mean these guys are almost the same size and speed and college careers while similar Zeke had bigger years in big games played.,

BR didn't pay many big games in big moments, Zeke played at a bigger college, bigger games, more production in said bigger games.

ill give you a wash but better , no.. go back and watch OSU Zeke highlights and his first 3 seasons here .. he gained weight got overused and lost that athleticism with injury's and milage this is from a Longhorn fan so its not bias.

anyone's memory is blurred over his finish here might want top go back and watch highlights..zekles was taken 4th overall for reason. he was impressive in college. imagine if he played more his 1st year or styed 4 years
