Any theories about who is behind the new frugal trades and aggressiveness?

Can’t be Jerry. Doubt he’s the guy calling around talking to people around the league making deals. Stephen? Mcclay? Someone else?

It’s possible it could be their teams and agents are pursuing us.

Our dysfunctional ownership pretty well makes their interest and intents public knowledge.

And I’m sure as usual our GM is the final word despite whoever is influencing decisions.

I’m certain he’s going to take the credit instead of bestowing it on his son or anyone else . What a guy.

What do I win.

It really isn't a break through what Jerry and Cap-boy are doing. They just got a couple hits in the 2nd inning. By getting Cooks, they put the team back to having say Cooper/Lamp. It's just Cooks/Lamb now. The money is less but it is not really "rocket science". It's just an "oh, we screwed up thinking Clifford Franklin (Noah Brown) and a rookie would work amazing. Honestly, there is really not much foot forward yet. Getting rid of Zeke is a start but it is not really the most amazing thing we've ever seen. Lets see them improve the trenches, then talk!!

My theory could be true.
Jerry and son are out on his big boat. Someone disabled / scrambled the GPS and they are lost at sea. They will unscramble it after FA and the draft.
They will return to find the have a championship roster, or at least to finally be more competitive for one.

Not Jerry or mini me for sure. Maybe it's one of the grandkids? You can pick up a lot playing Madden and hanging around message boards. ;)

I have been thinking the same thing. The obvious would be Big Mike . . . It is a do or die season for Him

It's because there's an acceptance that last year's approach....relying on certain players to step up wasnt/isnt good enough and that we need an influx at certain positions. It could be argued that last year was a 'try and see' (after the Gregory fiasco), evaluate the team in a hope that certain players step up.

Jerry's getting older, he's trying to get the most out of this crop of players as he may never see (or at least enjoy) another retool/rebuild.

It’s still Jerry and Stephen but someone has convinced them that they have to be more aggressive with roster building in order to compete and go further in the playoffs. I would bet it’s some combination of McCarthy, Quinn, and McClay or all three.

I think things like Zeke were becoming so obvious they couldn't be ignored.
Also he's going to give Mike everything he wants so there's no excuses if we fail.

Still Jerald calling the shots.
