There will not be anything resembling consistency until more technology is adopted (i.e. more camera angles) and more officials added to each crew to up the number of eyes on the field. Keeping the status quo will not change it.

Yea, right. It'll never be consistent as long as clowns like Shawn Hochuli are referees. That guy is the worst since his daddy. Full time refs and more tech might improve things, I'll have to see it to believe it. One thing they should do if fine referees for crap calls and non-calls.

Broken NFL officiating is a feature, not a bug. Serves its purpose. Will never ever get cleaned up.

Full time officials dont really solve the problem, go watch some NBA games (who have full time officials) and their calls are still straight up trash.

I mean, they call a foul and replay shows the offensive player never got touched, its that bad.

And star players get way more favorable calls compared to non-star players. The announcers will even joke about it sometimes saying that "only NBA royalty gets that call".

This is a big problem in the NFL but I don't see how it gets fixed. Maybe they can try rotating different officials through different crews every week. It can be worse than what they have now and it is what they do for the Super Bowl, isn't it?

Excellent point............if a crew blows a call, especially a call that helps decide the game, there should be consequences like that crew gets suspended for 1 week or something like that.

Just enough years to allow their favorite QBs to win as many Super Bowls as they could before retiring. The NFL knows what it's doing. All about the ratings and pleasing the masses, plus certain networks and owners.

I think chipping the ball and field to help with geolocating the position of the ball could certainly make a difference in spotting.

Outside of that, adding a few more cameras is probably the only other realistic thing at this point that would help.

The review process needs to be changed as well as what can be challenged and when. Far too much subjectivity that is impacting the game negativity

Disagree. NBA refs, though not perfect, are far far better than any other major sport.
