I think they are going to wait and take one between the 3rd and 5th rounds.

Some guys to watch:
Sam LaPorta Iowa
Cameron Latu Alabama
Payne Durham Purdue
Josh Whyle Cincinnati
Brenton Strange Penn State

My favorite is Payne Durham.

I think they are more likely to take a wide receiver higher and take advantage of the tight end depth in the mid rounds.

The WRs likely to fall to us are not as good as the TE's likely to fall to us. I am talking first rd.

Do they really need another 4th round TE?

In the 1st and maybe 2nd they get a TE that is rated higher then Ferguson was rated. I
In the 3rd to 5th aren't they just getting another Ferguson?

If they take a TE, would rather take one of those modern day big receiving types. We already have a good inline TE in Ferguson, but don't have that so called mismatch TE in our offense. Kincaid would be ideal and add a new dimension.

You guys need to stop overrating Ferguson. Solid 4th round pick but not a game changer. Broaddus says the Cowboys like Hendershot better and Dak stopped throwing the UDFA the football after the ball bounced of his chest in Tennessee. If tight end is the bpa in the first, second, or third rounds, we will draft one with no hesitation.

He looked pretty good when given the opportunity.

4th Rd TE this year is not your typical 4th rounder . . . The Position is insanely loaded this year. Best Available player sill determine the draft but if it is a tie between a TE and another player at another position you have to give the nod to the other position

TE can be found all over this draft because there is a major influx of talent but other then Meyers or Kincad the Cowboys can wait but when and if there is a run on them you better grab one

Broaddus was probably drunk. The ball bounced off Hendershot's chest in that game.

I heard a story last yr, that our TE coach was pounding the table for Hendershot in the 5th rd.

Yeah those 19 catches makes him the second coming of Kelse.
Kinda my point. He didn’t get nearly enough opportunities. But when he did, he looked good. How about not basing a stupid comment off of a rookie year behind a starter??

They combined for barely 200 yards. That is like saying Davis can replace Zeke’s production. I feel more confident with a draft pick at tight end.

Hendershot dropped out of the draft because he plead guilty to a misdemeanor domestic violence charge after pleading down from felony charges.

That’s fair and get your point. I was simply saying, when given the chance he played well and maybe let him show what he can do in year two. Out from under schultz who was getting starter snaps. I think this kid is gonna be real good. But who knows.

Yes they do. They just lost a 4th round tight end. They can get a receiver and a running back in the 1st two rounds. a guard in the 3rd, and a tight end in the 4th.

I would love it if they got him at pick 129. I see he was a 30 visit guy. I can see why after looking at him and listening to him. I love the Purdue guys. I see that they also interviewed his qb. It wouldn't surprise me if the draft 1 or 2 of the Purdue guys.

So stats don’t count? He is a JAG until proven otherwise and most of the board still hated Shultz even after 21.
Yeah, stats count when taken in context. If Ferguson put up those numbers as the starter last year then the skepticism would be warranted. But we know he wasn’t the starter, so to plainly point to the stats is misguided.

It’s even more ridiculous to shade Ferguson in favor of drafting an even less proven rookie.
