Not surprising............here is the problem for Irvin.

Marriott called the NFL who then sent NFL investigators to the hotel and they determined that something apparently happened and Irvin got moved from the hotel and kicked off NFL Network.

At the end of the day, it was the NFL, not Marriott that decided something happened. Thus, Irvin has to prove to the NFL that nothing happened, and it was all just a big misunderstanding. Unfortunately, Irvin does not have any evidence that proves he is innocent, just a video that shows him touching a female hotel employee twice on the arm.

Look, I have no idea what Irvin did or did not say to that woman, maybe he propositioned her and maybe he didnt. All I know is that NFL investigators were sent to the hotel and ever since then Irvin has been a no show on NFL Network.

the article implied that Nfl did not want to offend Marriott.
Michael imo made a big mistake by suing Marriot so quickly, or at all.
The only process going on is his suit lol, and that suit is keeping nfl from giving him his job back.
That suit may cost him his job.

If he had just let it go, this would have all blown over in couple of weeks.

Meh
Over my decades of watching players finding hot water, usually they've positioned themselves near the jacuzzi.

Good luck Mike......again.

It could be over for him. NFL Network suspended, then fired Willie McGinest for an assault with a deadly weapon charge. With this situation, the video clearly showed wrongdoing. He faces up to eight years in prison.
Fill me in. Was there another video? The only one I’ve seen of is her pursuing Irvin and them talking.

What did the other video show or what did I miss?

The NFL and Goodell have the job of protecting the “image” of The Shield. Image doesn’t always walk hand-in-hand with being innocent, and let’s face it, throughout the years there’s been a lot of smoke coming from Irvin’s campsite.

Viewing from my chair, I didn’t see that Michael added much to NFL programming. In fact, I usually changed the channel when he started emphatically ranting with his cookie monster-esque pitch.

Thanks for the great football career, but now you gotta geaux!

Kinda makes sense as Irvin's lawyer withdrawing and then re-filing the case started the clock all over again. AZ isn't moving as fast as the Texas feds did so I'm guessing the NFL wants to see how that case plays out and whether any fingers will be pointed their way at some point or another. Knowing this case extremely well, I can't see Marriott at fault so far unless their internal reporting was a mess. The video they released shows that Mike clearly engaged her first and also disqualified one of Mike's witnesses who wasn't even in position to see the initial meeting, plus his claim that she knew who he was that Mike himself confirmed wasn't true in his 2nd press conference. So the case will examine Marriott's procedures and then if the NFL had any culpability with what they did being the hatchet person (that Marriott was very willing to let them do).

Really? Thats what the video saw? Or is that nowadays you cant say anything without offending someone? I bet you dollars to donuts that woman has had 10 times worse things said to her being a bartender from drunken idiots but because they werent famous she kept her mouth shut.

The NFL has decided to keep Michael Irvin suspended based on "merit". Ok, so where is the concrete evidence against Irvin to keep him suspended?
If they had concrete evidence, he would be already fired, not suspended.

The NFL is carefully walking that territory between sponsor and employee and most likely continuing to pay Irvin to keep his lawyer quiet. And they do not forget, all of their other sponsors are watching this.

It is still unresolved and he said/she said with no evidence of guilt or innocence, only interpretation of a video and it doesn't look like Marriott has cratered to make this go away as some predicted.

The overriding fact to me is that Irvin is in this predicament because of his mishandling of this from the beginning with that radio call in and the words used "hiding out". He helped make Marriott's charges stick.

Booger is the reason he has that job but he has been mysteriously silent on this and evidently his power with the league and network has its limitations. Or his love of that sponsor money is greater than his love of his former player and mouthpiece.

The NFL is always hypocritical. Look at the garbage with kraft and other owners and how they are treated vs anyone else.

Its all a big joke their so called protection of the 'shield'

Just look at the fines during the season; how often they are different for the same violations.
Or how some get called for anything and some never get called for anything

There is no such thing as fairness or honesty when talking the NFL as goofsmell and company run it

He made his biggest mistake by talking on the radio call in and hamstrung his lawyer. He should have cancelled that call in due to health reasons and let the network run the show.

Did he really think the NFL would just be OK with an employee of theirs filing a lawsuit against a sponsor? Irvin knows that money rules the NFL and he peed in the church punch of the NFL.

Where image rules the land, there is no due process. And the NFL isn't a court of law.
ITs a kangaroo court but you will never admit that, right?

Never hold them to their own words and so called promises right to be fair and do the right thing?

The NFL is the ultimate do as I say not as I do institution.

Instead of holding the sponsors accountable for something questionable, they lay down.

ITS NOT LIKE THERE ARE NOT PLENTY OF OTHERS WHO WOULD LOVE TO BE AN NFL SPONSOR.

ITs not about money as it is about power and their love of using it
