It seems like their is a cult following for Washington, very polarizing player here.3-year totals:
REC YDS TD Mayer 180 2099 18 Washington 45 774 3
The RAS scores. Washington crushes Mayer. Also Mayer’s score is similar to Shultz. The RAS score is what seems to separate good tight ends from great ones.It seems like their is a cult following for Washington, very polarizing player here.
You failed to mention the ND QB play was mediocre at best. Making these accomplishments more impressive.3-year totals:

we have seen better football players succeed then the so called elite athletes. You are taking him as a projection, where Mayer might have the highest floor in the entire classThe RAS scores. I like Mayer. He reminds of Witten but is little more athletic.dalton schultz was never this good coming out.
excellent te at stanford.
but he was not in mayer's league.
Washington had good measurables, but he's not exactly Vernon Davis...It seems like their is a cult following for Washington, very polarizing player here.
Your picking stats that only support Mayer. What about the other 7 to 10 stats that make up the total RAS score.
Mayer Washington Ten-Yard Time: 1.61 1.61 Vert: 32-1/2 31 Bench: 21 21
Sure but now let's compare the QBs each played with. I mean if we are gonna talk about context.3-year totals:
Mayer - 7.92 yards per target
Washington - 10.69 yards per target
Your threads posting stats with absolutely zero context are worthless.
Vernon was a freak athlete but did he even do much in the NFL. Who was that Virginia TE last yr drafted by the Colts we also liked? He was another big guy who needed development as a receiverWashington had good measurables, but he's not exactly Vernon Davis...
Vernon Davis
40 Yard Dash (ET): 4.40
40 Yard Dash (HH): 4.38
20 Yard (ET): 2.56
20 Yard (HH): 2.52
10 Yard (ET): 1.52

225 Lb. Bench Reps: 33
Vertical Jump: 42
I would be ok with Mayer. Dak would give him 60+ catches and he would be an instant upgrade over Shultz. I just don’t think he will be there at 26.we have seen better football players succeed then the so called elite athletes. I personally have Kincaid as my top TE, but Mayer is a terrific prospect too. He is just more well rounded and not as dangerous as a receiverI would be ok with Mayer. Dak would give him 60+ catches and he would be an instant upgrade over Shultz. I just don’t think he will be there at 26.
