Not bad for a late 3rd round pick. TEs usually take some time. Not great stats, but they also had big issues at qb

JD & Coke | Could be a lot more fun | Could end up in the drunk tank |
Has the most bust potential as well.Just look at all 3 TEs profiles, combine results, college results, pros/cons, final analysis and NFL potential projections. It's clear which TE has the highest ceiling potential for the NFL.
Michael Mayer

I'll take Darnell Washington.
So did Tyler Smith last year, yet look at how well he played from Day 1 when forced to start all season due to Tyron's injuries.Has the most bust potential as well.
Washington the "Greatest redzone player in NFL history" averaged 1 TE per college season...It seems like their is a cult following for Washington, very polarizing player here.
You still have a few min to edit that from 1 TE to 1 TD…Washington the "Greatest redzone player in NFL history" averaged 1 TE per college season...
Washington: 4.08 SS
Mayer Washington Ten-Yard Time: 1.61 1.61 Vert: 32-1/2 31 Bench: 21 21

Zack Kuntz with a 4.87 3-cone and 40" vert at 6'7-3/8" tall.Washington: 4.08 SS
Which is pretty ridiculous
Kuntz is also a bad football player. Not nearly the athlete in pads as he is shorts, marginal blocker, bad hands. Washington is a good player that just wasnt utilized as a recieverZack Kuntz with a 4.87 3-cone and 40" vert at 6'7-3/8" tall.
We are in the minority as many see him as a future star at the position, don't see it. As I have said, he is more of a Mercedes Lewis with his upside being a Marty B without the immaturity issues.Washington the "Greatest redzone player in NFL history" averaged 1 TE per college season...
Nope, measurables are all that matter. I learned that on CZ with the comparison of Mayer to Washington.Kuntz is also a bad football player. Not nearly the athlete in pads as he is shorts, marginal blocker, bad hands. Washington is a good player that just wasnt utilized as a reciever
Davis.....daaamn. The words 'freak' and 'beast' get thrown out too often. But he was both.Washington had good measurables, but he's not exactly Vernon Davis...
Vernon Davis
40 Yard Dash (ET): 4.40
40 Yard Dash (HH): 4.38
20 Yard (ET): 2.56
20 Yard (HH): 2.52
10 Yard (ET): 1.52
10 Yard (HH): 1.51
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 33
Vertical Jump: 42
i’m more intrigued by Washington personally, but it would seem your stats are the ones that require context. small sample size averages rarely tell much of a story3-year totals:
Mayer - 7.92 yards per target
Washington - 10.69 yards per target
Your threads posting stats with absolutely zero context are worthless.
or marty b without a witten to block himRico Gathers 2.0
along with being a freak of a blockerWashington played on a team that has a TE that very well could be a top 10 draft pick next year Brock Bowers. That is probably why he wasn't targeted very often .
