TE Mayer & Washington

Just look at all 3 TEs profiles, combine results, college results, pros/cons, final analysis and NFL potential projections. It's clear which TE has the highest ceiling potential for the NFL.

Michael Mayer

I'll take Darnell Washington.
Has the most bust potential as well.

Zack Kuntz with a 4.87 3-cone and 40" vert at 6'7-3/8" tall.
Kuntz is also a bad football player. Not nearly the athlete in pads as he is shorts, marginal blocker, bad hands. Washington is a good player that just wasnt utilized as a reciever

Washington the "Greatest redzone player in NFL history" averaged 1 TE per college season...
We are in the minority as many see him as a future star at the position, don't see it. As I have said, he is more of a Mercedes Lewis with his upside being a Marty B without the immaturity issues.

Nope, measurables are all that matter. I learned that on CZ with the comparison of Mayer to Washington.
- I learned on CZ that Mayer is the equivalent of a slow plow-horse.
- Washington is the equivalent of Secretariat.

Washington had good measurables, but he's not exactly Vernon Davis...

Vernon Davis
40 Yard Dash (ET): 4.40
40 Yard Dash (HH): 4.38
20 Yard (ET): 2.56
20 Yard (HH): 2.52
10 Yard (ET): 1.52
10 Yard (HH): 1.51
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 33
Vertical Jump: 42
Davis.....daaamn. The words 'freak' and 'beast' get thrown out too often. But he was both.

3-year totals:

Mayer - 7.92 yards per target

Washington - 10.69 yards per target

Your threads posting stats with absolutely zero context are worthless.
i’m more intrigued by Washington personally, but it would seem your stats are the ones that require context. small sample size averages rarely tell much of a story

Washington played on a team that has a TE that very well could be a top 10 draft pick next year Brock Bowers. That is probably why he wasn't targeted very often .
along with being a freak of a blocker
