Fine by me, but I think Mayer is their guy cause of him being well rounded in both the run and the pass.
What about Luke Musgrave. If you hit on him he seems like a combination of Mayer, Kincaid and Washington. He has a knee injury but he might have been the number 1 tight end if he played more then two games last season.

Big fan, just rather wait to see if he makes it to 58. Not enough tape for the 1st for me but def see him having a higher ceiling than Mayer.

Musgrave has to be in play if the Cowboys really want a tight end at 26. He potentially is Kincaid, Mayer and Washington combined.
I like Musgrave but not in 1. The best speed but he's not exactly the model of production. His most productive season, he gained 300 yds.

Give me your surprise pick for 26. I know who you want but who do you think could be this year’s Tyler?

I don’t know if I could think of one…they might just take a need position earlier than they should like G. Torrence or Avila but I don’t think that would surprise anyone.

Be careful draft night brother. You might blow a fuse. I just don’t see Jerry not taking a chance this draft. He wants to win with a splash.

I don’t get overly upset anymore just disappointed…I’ve gotten used to how they operate.

He is the biggest question mark due to his health. Also, when I watched him, he seems to go down very ackwardly everytime.

In an earlier show he kind of hinted that he was hearing things that might concern the team on TE Darnell Washington.
Seems like Mayer and Washington interest is playing strong on in-line blocking. Although I do not like drafting a TE in the first round for his blocking first, pass catch second.
Impact TEs are well regarded established receiving weapons first.

Bobby Belt thinks the Mayer interest is reminisance of Witten 2.0.
A chain mover who has a complete game as a combo Catch/Block TE.

Ok. I just don’t see Kincaid and Mayer falling. Green Bay seems to want Kincaid and the Chargers seem to want Mayer. I get the impression the Cowboys want more weapons for Dak and Musgrave fits the bill. Bobby Belt has been all over Musgrave in the pre draft process and likes him better then Mayer.

I'm hearing GB will take JSN if available. Chargers/Lions could pull the trigger on a TE in rd 1 as well. Even if they miss out at 26, there is a chance that one of the top 6 falls to 58: Mustgrave, Washington, Kraft. LaPorta. Based on the reports, think Mayer is their top target, where players like Sanders/Avilia could be there backup land. Just saw Kiper's top 150, appears both Forbes/McDonald will be off the board at 26.

I don’t think the Cowboys will draft defense unless a stud falls. They want offensive weapons. I think they believe they lost to the 49ers because they lacked offensive skill players. I think they believe the defense is set.

Yea I’d be shocked if Mayer / Kincaid aren’t available at 26…with it likely being Mayer as Kincaid is much more dynamic.

Id much rather take a premium position but if we’re going to force the need pick at LG / TE / RB give me Gibbs…at least he’s a weapon if we’re smart enough to actually throw him the ball.

Also there are way to many teams in the second round that need tights ends that pick in front of us. There is a good chance at 58 that six tight ends could be off the board. Remember we draft late in the rounds and we have to pick the guy we want a round early. This is a draft that you should take BPA. You will get some steals.
