the pick was too low to pick a qb, this wasnt a good qb draft imo. there are others still left they can get later.

Exactly, and there are some later ones that they have scouted. Plus, I think the class is better next year, not to mention that there is an out for June 1 next year.

Haha, perhaps. In fact, it was December of that year. So, yes, naturally, I wouldn't have been able to see what he was like. Hence, wondering who our last really good NT was. It'd be amazing if it was about 30 years ago.

It would be Glover without a doubt and we also got Ferguson from the Jets, they were pretty good together.

Well the team that Wins Superbowls (KC) wanted to move up for Mazi Smith ....... but we took him instead.
well kc took another de, so it is possible they called dallas saying they wanted mazi, can we trade with you?

But really it was disinformation , and so that got dallas to take mazi, instead of the guy kc actually wanted.

I just wonder could mazi have been had in the 2nd round?
If quinn was high on mazi, then using 26 on him is ok.

I thought Taco at first, but upon looking at it, Mazi doesn't really strike me as that type. Mazi is very athletic and has suitable size for his position. He doesn't have work ethic concerns like with Trystan Hill. I think his biggest issue seems to be some technique stuff, which hopefully Quinn can correct. Mazi didn't look great during the TCU game, but overall, he seems to play tough and isn't a finessy type of player. I think Quinn is really trying to build a wholistic defense and it's encouraging to see the front office actually listening and drafting football players instead of just the sexy names

The eagles took an undersized linebacker…. And a guy with a potential questionable motor in carter. Could they be superstars? Idk…. But they aren’t locks to become anything. They have flaws as well.

People have cried for 3 years here we don’t have a true NT. Hurts and the eagles in particular took advantage of this last year. Now we do.
Would you trade your true NT for the guy with a potentially questionable motor?

Not their best starters. They just picked the fastest DE in the draft and the best player in the draft. If you can't see what they are doing and why it's better than what we are doing , you should go work in the Dallas FO. You'll fit right in.

Look, the Carter pick was obviously a great pick...because the Eagles had a high 1st round pick. Nolan smith, however, is a situational pass rusher with no pass rushing production in college. He's grotesquely overrated.

the eagles did the qb sneak thing on every team they played, so dont know if mazi can stop that. wait and see.

True , but we have DEs no girth in the middle , now with Hankins, Osa and Mazi , the interior will hold , Micah , Sam , Dorance, Dlaw and Dante can attack like crazy. I thought Jerry wont do that, kudos for going Trenches
I am loving these picks the past 2 years, beef up the offensive line last year and now beef up the defensive line this year.

This is how you build a great team, from the trenches out in the first round.

I would have thrown up if we would have taken a dam TE in the first.
