A little concerned about his speed, but to be honest I really don’t think he can bulk up THAT much in 3 months lol

Actually if he is going to continue to take on tackles and double teams with tight ends, he will need to bulk up. Part of the reason he slowed down during the middle of the season was because of injury. His snaps will limited as well.

Nay, he is too small for DE.
He needs to be a situational rusher, not full time DE.
This is going to wear him down.
He won't be a full-time DE. He's only going to line up at DE on passing downs. On run downs, he'll essentially be an OLB because we run a pseudo-3-4 (or 5-2 depending on how you want to look at it). As the OLB/DPR in that formation, you can do a lot of shifting to lessen the run-blocking against him.

I don’t think I’m crazy about it either. Doing so announces to opponents just what to expect from him. I preferred to keep teams guessing. And that’s why I feel his rookie year was better than year two.

I support this.

Don't know why he isn't participating in the offseason program though. I'd probably trade him for that.
Report says, "Parsons had noted that last year his body was getting beat up playing so much defensive end, and toward the end of the year he was playing through nagging injuries. Apparently the Cowboys and Parsons learned their lesson, and want Parsons to get bigger and stronger to handle the wear-and-tear that comes from playing defensive line."
Says he won't go over 255, just wants to add muscle.

i dont think he is going to be an every down end but i think we will be rushing every down. We still have Williams, Armstrong, and Fowler who are all solid. Add in Golston and Fehoko who is tailor made to be a base down DE.

He ran a 4.39 40yd time at his Pro Day. Don't worry about his speed unless you are an OT.

I’m not a fan of this move
Makes it predictable where he is coming from

I’m betting this is at his request not Quinn so he can get paid as a DE

He needs to add bulk and weight because we have him at DE often and itll keep from his body being beaten up by guys who outweigh him by 70 lbs

but full time de? i kinda like it when no one knows where hes coming from or if hed rushing blitzing or playing coverage

not sure how I feel about this. I mean essentially its what hes been doing anyhow for the most part and I dont think he excels at LB like he excels at getting after QB.. I want him to be a better run stopper as well. On the other hand Im not sure hes going to be big enough and it will take away some of his explosiveness perhaps.

I honestly wouldnt hate switching to 3-4
