Well, the experimenting and changes have to come to an end. MM made a blunder hire with his Def Coordinator, which was corrected with the Dan Quinn Hire.
The 6-10 season in 2020 was shoved under the carpet and blamed on covid.
Now Kellen Moore his OC is gone and he thinks he can do better on Offense.
Looking at the schedule projections , a 9 win season looks very reasonable . No change at QB with a very predictable Dak , who cannot pass you into a win or a CCG or SB win. Add to that mprovements other teams have made in the division ( eagles especially). a 9-8 season looks very possible. This could mean missing the playoffs or exiting early

Would that be acceptable for Jerry and stephen ? Who else will be blamed for this ?

What would a successful season look like in the evaluation of McCarthy ?

Better look like something, because maybe there's another coach on the current roster WAITING to be named head coach!
I’m not looking forward to Dan Quinn becoming HC and hope it doesn’t happen. Other than the SB season in Atlanta that saw his team cough up a 27 point lead, his HC record is nothing to write home about. He’s better suited to be a DC.

Losing the starting QB in the fifth game of the season was by far the main factor on why the Cowboys went 6-10, followed up by having argubaly
the worst defense in franchise history.

They were 1-3 when Prescott went down and had a higher winning percentage with backup QBs that year.

Sounded good though.
Still was a losing percentage overall with the other QBs starting = a losing record for that season.

Success? MM gone week 5 Quinn takes over championship game.
Could happen if they start 2-3 or worse.
Not sure what jerry does with a 9-8 record , which could be a very realistic record given the schedule.
I don't see a 12 or 11 win team with dak

But they lost more with the starter and you said the main reason they were 6-10 is because they lost their starter. It simply isn't true. They did better without him. (kind of like last year)

The only bar here is advancing to the NFC title game which would be the franchises first since 1996.
Agreed....but when it doesn't happen....which it won't....we will hear from some bootlickers that NEXT YEAR, we REALLY REALLY need to reach the NFCCG or else....sigh....there will be some excuse for bringing "all of our guys" back....players and coaches. Booger and Chuckles are too scared to make ANY decision that might derail this team for even ONE season...even if it means betterment of the organization in the long run....those two are really clowns.

McCarthy will not have any more excuses if they either don't make the playoffs or if they lost on the first playoff game. Other than the Dak excuse, which is beyond his control, he will be on the very hot seat

this fanbase is weird...man has had consecutive 12 win seasons and look at the post we bave

success is making it to the playoffs and making a NFCCG

anything short of that look at did he make the playoffs? did he win 10+ games ? if so they we can call it successful in a way but we need more

But they lost more with the starter...
The team went 1-3 with Prescott as the starter and finisher in 2020.
The 11 games with the other QBs as starters__
• Gilbert__ 0-1 (Cowboys should've won that game.)
• DeNucci___ 0-1
• Dalton___4-5
Sum --- 4-7
● Summation: Dallas Cowboys lost more games with the three other QBs starting 11 games than Prescott starting 5,\ finishing 4.
