I agree. At this point, Hopkins would be a luxury in Philly and KC. There's only one ball and you still need to feed the running backs.
Luxury is exactly what contending team should be looking for - although I don't think he'd be a luxury for KC, considering who their WR corps is right now.

The other way of looking at it, though, is injury insurance. If, say, AJ Brown goes down, you aren't going to get a much better replacement than DHop.

What do you mean head shake?
At the 7-8 sec mark he is shaking his head no to playing with Dak. Think that is why she is giggling. But again, it isn't a slight, he is just going through who he wants to play with. Could be anything

Was there no savings June 1st considering it's less than a week away?

But DHop wants to play. He doesn't want to be an insurance piece. And no team is giving him top dollars (which Hop is going to want) to be a "just-in-case" player.

Only takes two.

A team like Detroit, Chicago, Carolina or Indy could offer him a better role than pretty much any contender and drive the price way up.
His injury history is going to scare some teams, which is why no one traded for him. He’s had reoccurring hamstring issues. His production has really dropped off the past two seasons due to missed games from a suspension and injuries. He was released for a reason. Teams will definitely be interested but for the right price.

Is he still the guy he was in houston? Seems like he's known more for drama than on the field production these days
I watched him after his suspension ended last season. Does he demand the ball? Yes. Is he still dangerous after the catch? Very much so. If all that translates as drama in a Cowboys uniform, I say embroider the word 'DRAMA' on the back of his jersey.

Who knows what he wants. I think he's going to go to the highest bidder, I'm just saying that the list of teams who would be interested in him is going ot be really long.

The Cards were likely asking way too much plus I'm assuming they wanted any team to take on that contract or part of it at least. I don't expect him to make top dollar, but I do expect multiple teams to be interested.
AZ was asking a lot earlier, but I’m sure they drop their demands when no one was showing interest. They would’ve taken any draft compensation for him rather than having to release him. Multiple teams will definitely be interested but for the right price.

OBJ got $15m+ and has a dreadful injury history and plummeting production. Someone will pay for the potential.

Chicago, specifically, makes a ton of sense on an overpay.

He'll be signed by tonight.

"They" are already mentioning the Vikings and Packers.

They'd rather just eat the cap hit this year rather than spread it into next year, since they're going to be terrible anyway.

I don't know why you wait until May 29 though lol

Seems like the cards mishandled this situation all offseason and end up just eating the contract anyway.
