The preferred word around these parts is "rueage"!Cowboys probably won't show any interest but we could expect to see some tantrums thrown!
They want one of the two QBs next year, I only know of the USC one but apparently another one is touted that high as well. They know they're going nowhere this season. Wouldn't surprise me if Murray doesn't come back at all in 2023.
If they're 1-8, what's the point?
Teams remember the last time they saw a player and the last time we saw OBJ he was having a Super Bowl MVP performance. The pace Hopkins was on last season wasn’t good enough to get anyone to want to trade for him. No one will pay him what OBJ got from the Ravens.OBJ hasn't played since 2021. Hopkins had a 16-game pace of 114 catches last year. That pace is far more relevant than what OBJ did two seasons ago.
multi year contract shove the guarantee on the back end he plays this year at a 5 or 6 million cap hit.Dallas Cowboys 2023 Cap Space
Total Cap Liabilities: $249,924,568

- Top 51: $210,056,743

- Offense: $132,414,900
- Defense: $103,595,211
- Special: $5,032,500
Cowboys only have $10.5 million of Cap Space available for 2023. Unless, DeAndre Hopkins agrees to take $8 mil or less, I don't see how the Cowboys could afford him.
He should get less than 10 million. Teams don't have that much money to play with.Teams remember the last time they saw a player and the last time we saw OBJ he was having a Super Bowl MVP performance. The pace Hopkins was on last season wasn’t good enough to get anyone to want to trade for him. No one will pay him $15 million this season.
Worse than the Cowboys handled the Amari Cooper exit. Shrug!
The battle cry for the Cardinals this year is "Collapse for Caleb." I too wouldn't be surprised that if the Cardinals end up with the first overall pick, they'll trade or cut Murray (if not takers) and draft Williams. They know they're going nowhere this season. Wouldn't surprise me if Murray doesn't come back at all in 2023.

Yes, but the Cowboys have 6+ new costly extensions coming up in 2024 for much younger players, some key starters. Kicking the can down the road one too many times will seriously hurt this team's chances to stay playoffs competitive on a yearly basis.multi year contract shove the guarantee on the back end he plays this year at a 5 or 6 million cap hit.
If true (Zeke frees $10.9 mil as a June 1st cut), that's great! The issue still lies with DeAndre Hopkins willing to take less to come to Dallas.Zeke frees about 10.9 June 1st
Diminishing returns say we'd be dumb to take him. We don't need another WR. Better use of that cap space elsewhere. BUT, we could very easily afford him. Remember year 1 is always the smallest cap hit. His signing bonus would be spread out and his year one salary would be low.Dallas Cowboys 2023 Cap Space

Even with #4?Calling it right now. If we do this we win the Super Bowl.
Cards take a $22.6M cap hit. Why did they want to get rid of him so bad?
