Since their last Lombardi Trophy was hoisted at the conclusion of Super Bowl XXX, the Cowboys have yet to return to the NFC Championship Game, posting a dismal 0-7 mark in the Divisional Round. Three of those losses, including last season's defeat against the San Francisco 49ers, have come with Prescott under center, as he's become one of five QBs in the Super Bowl era to start three or more divisional tilts and go winless.

Who was the last to do so?

Well, it was current CBS analyst and former Cowboys QB1 Tony Romo, who Prescott succeeded in Dallas. The Cowboys are the only franchise with two quarterbacks to play in three or more Divisional Round games without winning one. Long gone are the days of Hall of Fame Cowboys greats Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman, whose reputations were borne of playoff conquests and clutch play that saw them go 5-2 and 4-1, respectively, in the Divisional Round. Those days of Cowboys QBs captaining their squads to long postseason runs have ridden off into the sunset so far this century.

Does it though?

Romo/Dak just happen to be the only duo to accomplish this feat and it's the teams fault?

The lack of talent at the most important position in sports matters.
Of the three games Dak played I would only blame him for the game last season against the 49ers. The defense blew both the Rams and Packers games. You could blame Romo for the Giants game because Eli clearly out played him but Minnesota was a better overall team and the Dez caught it game was ridiculous.

As I said...

Hitching your wagons to undrafted/4th round talent at the most important position in sports is loser stuff.
That's just a lazy way to look at it.

Are you blaming the QB's for losing games? Then HOW...exactly...id the QBs...by themselves lose?

Come on...show your football IQ here and not just some lazy general nonsense.

And I am still confused if you ARE blaming QB or the team.

He's conflicted.

He hates Romo, but Dak is in the same boat here, so his mind is blown at what to say so he insults the messager instead.
I Eas about to ask him who he's defending....Romo or Dak. That would be a hard question to for him answer and I didnt; want to ruin his weekend. :)

This is actually starting to bother me…

Who are the other 3? Rivers made an AFCCG, Bledsoe made a SB, Cunningham made an NFCCG with Minnesota, Andy Dalton? Did he make 3 divisional rounds? Maybe he had a lot of byes.
I think Dalton was 0-5 in the playoffs.
