What players should not get the nod to play in this final game of the pre season for us. It could be for strategic reasons to keep them away from being stolen to a teams practice squad, or to avoid injury at a thin spot on this team. Are there any other reasons?

I say keep #33 out of this game,Mazi needs the work, but it's a long season for him to learn. One of the OL guys who we feel can be a good backup, I wouldn't let them play. Please give your thoughts

Clark, Williams, Tolbert, and Deuce should be added to the long list. I would cut back on Rico as well. Play Davis and Luepke.

I would respectfully suggest that Alarcon play all 60 minutes. Both sides of the ball and gunner on special teams.
He can hand out cake. Who was the guy on here who said he was going to be a player?

loooooooooooooooooool that way he can finally make the roster next year!!! lol

Anyone who looks like they need work needs to play next week. Mazi definitely needs to play, he’s not even close to being ready to start.

Honestly..it should be nothing but 3rd stringers out there. Grier with Luepke at RB. OL of Bostic, Lindstrom, Farniok, Hoffman, Ball, and Taylor-Prioleau. McKeon, Green and Fant as TE. Billy Johnson, Drummond, Moreno-Cropper, and David Durden at WR. On defense, DL should consist of Wheat, Alarcon, Bohanna, Fehoko, Banogu, Durrell Johnson. Jefferson, Harper, Land at LB. Coyle, Thomas, Brooks, Mandell, Redwine, Brooks and Butler in the secondary.

Get out with the starters and key reserves healthy.

Suite up any player on the roster from 68-90. That pretty much covers the 53 and majority of the practice squad.

I think we'll basically see the guys that are firmly on the roster bubble or ones not making it get the most playing time.

That means lots of Hunter Luepke, Jalen Moreno-Cropper, Dennis Houston, Princeton Fant, Earl Bostick, etc..

As for some young guys that should sit, Damone Clark comes to mind first.

I would also try him out as K....maybe his soccer skills are simmering in that big boy body. :muttley:

I'm not afraid to play anyone they need to put in real football situations to see how they react. Learn now while the cost is nigh or learn when it matters. Rookies need to play to some extent. Other guys on the bubble or who suck can finish the game.
