WAAAAYYYYYYY too early for this.

I like Deuce, and think he is going to be a big time play maker for us, but he isn't going to be on Barry Sanders' level. He'll be a role player, not the engine of the offense.

The fact that he was kept 3rd string for the last game was kind of surprising. I'm pretty sure a rookie Barry Sanders could beat out Rico Dowdle with one leg tied behind his back. Either the coaches see some flaws with Deuce or they are idiots.

I'm rooting hard for Deuce to be a great player but I think expectations need to get tamped down.

I think Rico will likely end up being the RB2 behind Pollard, because of what he does and contributes without the ball,
... that's blitz blocking.

QB Protection is gonna be prioritized first, before additional packages and special sets placed on the playing field.

It was noted that Vaughn has not been in plays this preseason, where he has to blitz- block yet.
Maybe that's an area they are not gonna throw Deuce to the wolves right away, but gradually prepare him
in that area as he gains more experience and success. Makes it less predictable when Deuce is in the game.

I think Darren Sproles, Warrick Dunn or Dave Meggett when it comes to comparisons with Deuce than I
do a Barry Sanders,
but comparisons to Sanders is more the highest, most flattering complement to Deuce
from his tiny size and frame, but darting, shifty feet, natural run/catch skill set.
