Chill out brahT
This is just idiotic. Even for "the fun of it."
LOL. Breaking Emmitt's record is breaking the all-time record. I'll take that.Duece will break all of Emmitt's Cowboys records.
That's awesomeBarry is okay with it.....sends 2 a signed jersey. Pretty cool. Lottsa people pulling for him!

Obviously, it's not even close. I'm thinking Emmitt is starting to sweat his all time NFL record. At least it'll be another Cowboy who breaks it.Vaughn is clearly better.
Gimme a break. It's a tongue in cheek thread. It's obviously about the signed jersey but to have a little fun the title reads vs. I understand the blood in most people's faces when they saw the 2 names side by side made the obvious go away.
Add that all up and we have the first 20 responses...and I just realized that everyone who already realized this realized it and the rest are equivalent to me trying to explain it to the phony spider man doll at the duck game my kid won at the fair.
Ah....judge a book by it's cover type person?Gimme a break.
Like most, I don't read every single thread. Instead, I rely on the title of the thread to determine if the subject matter is something I would enjoy reading and/or responding to. The title of this thread seems suspiciously deceptive.
Deceptive titles are a technique used to deliberately lure readers into investigating material they wouldn't otherwise be interested in. We get enough of that garbage on You Tube, it doesn't need to be repeated on this forum.
Let me repeat so there is no misunderstanding, it SEEMS deceptive. I have no way of knowing for sure, but a reasonable person should understand why I feel this way.
"Add the fact that anything positive about the Cowboys is met with the upmost despise on this forum."
Not true, generally speaking, so long as the information is based on accurate information and/or an honest attempt to look at an issue in a fair and impartial manner. It's also helps to understand that criticism is not hatred.
Members must copy-and-paste the title associated with an article, video, podcast, etc. Editing should be taken into account if an article title contains filtered language, etc. Creative thread titles are allowable for general commentary posted for discussion.I am sorry mods/admin you had to change the title. It was not meant to intentionally provoke or break a rule.
Bold> the league benefits from success stories too but I congratulate Fanatics' marketing and advertising consultants for capitalizing on this unique story. I wonder what went into the commercial's planning? What elements were staged? Deuce Vaughn looked genuinely surprised instead of acting the scene.I realize it was a commercial, but this is still very cool. It's not just Cowboys' fans rooting for Deuce, it is seemingly all of football. I believe the NFL needs stories like this to pan out. They need some people that the average fan can identify with.
I don't know if Deuce will be able to hold up, but I think he will be electric while he does. I'm rooting for him as hard as anyone.
So you admit you didn't read the OP and only the title. That's not my problem. Anyone with a 7th grade reading skill level can read the OP and see it was a thread about Barry Sanders giving props to Deuece.Gimme a break.

And it wasn't like it was some long rant to get there. So you admit you didn't read the OP and only the title. That's not my problem. Anyone with a 7th grade reading skill level can read the OP and see it was a thread about Barry Sanders giving props to Deuece.
Go read OP. Not comparing them at all. This thread is closer to being about aliens then it is saying Deuce is as good as Barry Sanders. As one of the biggest Deuce fans on this board, even i say...what the....; c'mon now no one is saying he is the next Barry Sanders. Is CeeDee Lamb the next Jerry Rice? Is Dak the next Tom Brady, or even Joe Montana?... is MP, the next LT? Of course not.. As long as Deuce is the best Deuce can be, as he has been his entire football career, that is enough for me and it will be a big asset to the team. Very unintelligent to compare him to one of the best already. The RB position is not a bell cow anymore and NO ONE will put up stats like that era of RBs did.
I agree on every single point. Really good stuff.Bold> the league benefits from success stories too but I congratulate Fanatics' marketing and advertising consultants for capitalizing on this unique story. I wonder what went into the commercial's planning? What elements were staged? Deuce Vaughn looked genuinely surprised instead of acting the scene.
Seemingly having Barry Sanders remotely present the signed jersey gave it some degree of authenticity also. They could have flown Sanders to meet Vaughn in person but that would have made the visuals less surreal with more pomp-and-circumstance. The commercial displays an aura of simple honesty. Good stuff.
