Love this move. While he's a stud right tackle, remember he really wasn't bad on the left side either when the Cowboys needed him there in the past.

Cowboys keeping young talent around. No reason not to be happy about this contract.

Kid hit it big after that disastrous rookie season. Kudos to him for not letting the adversity blow his mental makeup and development!
There's no such thing as a disastrous rookie season for an undrafted player.

That's just Jerry's team management should leaving them no other option.

Seems like too much money, for a none all pro player?
He's solid, but still seems like an overpay to me.
I'll be honest, I don't know what the going rate for an All Pro RT is, but I imagine there's very flexible language in the contract, and he'll get considerable less than All Pro salary if he doesn't perform at that level.

That’s awesome! Steele is a very good player who only is getting better. That’s a contract that was earned. Dudes gonna have a solid year.

For now. I imagine by this time next year, he'll have moved down the list a bit.
Yes, the natural course. We didn't set the precedent with his contract. Think all things considered it's very fair contract for him.

Another good contract by Stephen. He's hitting it out the park this year.

Very happy with this deal.
If we get another 2-3 years of Steele next to Martin, that locks up.our RT for a few more years. Which ever position Smith ends up playing - more the likely LT after this year. There is another stud.
Will really be interesting what we do with Biadich (sp) coming off a pro-bowl and adds continuity to the line, or do they think they can find better ?
Will leave LG looking for a starter after this year.
Plus I think they have identified a couple of our backups of the future in Richard's and Bass.
Oline looks like it's turning into another strength, but we all know how quickly that can change.
I'm really hoping that Tyron Smith can make it through this year at LT.
I for one am happy for Steele. Don't begrudge him his money, and I look forward to our RB gashing through the right side of the line.

Terrence Steele is a good run blocker and has improved in his pass blocking since his first year. He has shown steady improvement. I don't think this is out of line for a player who will be a major piece of the offensive line going forward. You never know...maybe we get lucky and we have the next Lane Johnson. One can hope.

What a stupid contract in terms of money given to a so-so RT who has only played 40 games. Leave it to JJ to hand out the money as stupidly as he does. Sadly, the next welfare recipient will be Dak.

Seemed like a good and ascending player prior to last year's injury.
But I'm not the biggest supporter of huge deals to players coming off injury.
Each player and recovery is different I know.
Now hopefully he lives up to it and not put in the long list of "overpaid 2nd contract Cowboys" category. Just on the surface it sounds a little steep to me.
