Having a good regular season where he plays in at least 15 games, has a TD to int ratio of 5-1 or better and throws at least 27 TDs. Then goes on to start every postseason game with at least that ratio and averaging at least 250 yards per game (with no critical turnovers). Also he would need to win SB MVP with at least 300 yards passing with at least 2 TD passes and no turnovers in a winning effort.

Just in case you were thinking it’s impossible. That is what would do it. For every single Cowboys’ fan-including his most staunch detractors. Let’s hope he pulls it off. What would everyone talk about then? Everyone would be even more geared up for the following season.
Yep. Such has always been the case. But this is year 8 and he's 30.

Well this is the best summary of last season's interception situation I have seen so far:

So with KM gone I wonder if Mike had the time to really bring Dak and his receiving corps onto the same page.

With that being said, I don't care at all about regular season stats anymore. Dak and the guys have to get their **** together in January. And if they lose in an epic fight in which minimal mistakes cause the loss by 3 points... well so be it, I can accept that. But if it's yet another embaressing show of mediocrity against a well prepared opponent, then to hell with 'em. And especially fy Dak, our wannabe top 5 QB and leader. At least show us there was a chance every game.

dang that is Critic"al". lol
This Terrence Steele signing rings loud to me. Instead of spending $50 million a year on an above average QB, it would be better to pay for quality talent and depth elsewhere and roll the dice on paying less for a QB. I think Dak is capable of winning a Super Bowl, but he is not at a Rodgers/Burrow/Mahomes level and doesn't deserve to be paid like one. At least not yet. If Dak leads the Cowboys to a Super Bowl victory this season and proves the doubters wrong than go ahead and pay the man. No way in hell I would extend Dak until the season is over, no matter how much that may cost down the road. It's put up or shut up time for Dak Prescott.

Listen we are all Cowboys fans (I think) and we are all sick and tired of waiting for ring number six.

We have major disagreements sometimes about Dak because the easiest thing in football is to blame the QB. While Dak needs to be better in the postseason, the rest of the team around him- not to mention the coaches- need to be better too.

I used to feel the same way about Tony Romo. I think he took WAY too much heat for the Cowboys' overall failures.

My stand on the whole matter is this: Dak Prescott is NOT blameless, but to summarize the Cowboys' failures and place them in one box labeled "Dak" is the easy way out. This title drought started when the guy was three years old.

If you want to keep changing quarterbacks all the time trying to find the answer you become Cleveland or Washington. Dallas does not have "the best" in Dak but they certainly have someone good enough. Maybe the coaches need to do a better job putting him in advantageous situations in big games instead of waiting on him to become Mahomes 2.0.

Well, those who are observing and commenting on what they see will continue to observe and comment, it's just that their observations will be of a QB stepping up and playing well in the playoffs. Not really "silencing".

Dak can silence haters by having a good regular season and playoffs

Silence means different things to different people. I think of silence as people shutting up and never criticizing again.

This team can win a championship and see Dak Prescott holding the Lombardi Trophy like Michael Jordan iconically holding the Walter O'Brien trophy. HIs critics will quiet down initially. Certainly. However, they will just start again eventually.

Nothing silences someone who does not like something. Some people do not like Dak Prescott as this team's quarterback or possibly any team's quarterback. Winning the ultimate achievement in the sport of American football will... not... shut... them... up. Not sure why this fact never takes hold.

I've never seen a single Cowboy fan here on CZ hate on Dak. I have seen some be critical of his play. There's a huge difference. Stop labeling criticism as "hate." The two are very different things. Dak made awful decisions that cost his team the game the last two times he's played the 49ers in the playoffs (not that he was the only one who played poorly). Anyone who is saying, "Well, I love him, so I'm not going to criticize anything he did" is being ridiculous.
....
So, to answer your question, no, it won't silence any haters because there isn't anyone here who hates him. Those who have criticized his poor play will be like, "This is awesome! He's playing great now."
