Dak can silence haters by having a good regular season and playoffs

So, to answer your question, no, it won't silence any haters because there isn't anyone here who hates him. Those who have criticized his poor play will be like, "This is awesome! He's playing great now."
"The best way Dak can silence his critics around here is to leave the team. Get cut, traded, retire - either one is fine with me and will definitely shut me up."

ACR731 says hello! I don't see playing great on his list.

Having a good regular season where he plays in at least 15 games, has a TD to int ratio of 5-1 or better and throws at least 27 TDs. Then goes on to start every postseason game with at least that ratio and averaging at least 250 yards per game (with no critical turnovers). Also he would need to win SB MVP with at least 300 yards passing with at least 2 TD passes and no turnovers in a winning effort.

Just in case you were thinking it’s impossible. That is what would do it. For every single Cowboys’ fan-including his most staunch detractors. Let’s hope he pulls it off. What would everyone talk about then? Everyone would be even more geared up for the following season.

If you wish upon a Star...well, you know the rest.

I've never seen a single Cowboy fan here on CZ hate on Dak. I have seen some be critical of his play. There's a huge difference. Stop labeling criticism as "hate." The two are very different things. Dak made awful decisions that cost his team the game the last two times he's played the 49ers in the playoffs (not that he was the only one who played poorly). Anyone who is saying, "Well, I love him, so I'm not going to criticize anything he did" is being ridiculous.

a comparison of two things to show their similarities.
Right and you’re saying I did that lol? I literally said if someone gave him a million he’s complain it’s not 2…..how on earth is that an analogy? Where’s the comparisons?

No it wouldnt

theyll make up stuff...or say it was a fluke....
It’s harder to argue your point when the guy wins a Super Bowl mvp and SB title while playing great ball in the playoffs. That type of performance solidifies an individual’s regular season success (which he already has lots of).

People might talk a little in the future-but it will ring hollow when you get blinded by all that postseason jewelry.

Fact, he can help or hurt his reputation by his performance on the field.
I hope he either excels or stinks it up.
An average season in the worst possible outcome for the future.

Since when have Quarterbacks in this town been judged on regular season stats......And here I always thought it was about Superbowls ....silly me, I guess we're Detroit or Cleveland now
1995 just said “Hold my beer.”

Of course we are Detroit and Cleveland.

Listen we are all Cowboys fans (I think) and we are all sick and tired of waiting for ring number six.

We have major disagreements sometimes about Dak because the easiest thing in football is to blame the QB. While Dak needs to be better in the postseason, the rest of the team around him- not to mention the coaches- need to be better too.

I used to feel the same way about Tony Romo. I think he took WAY too much heat for the Cowboys' overall failures.

My stand on the whole matter is this: Dak Prescott is NOT blameless, but to summarize the Cowboys' failures and place them in one box labeled "Dak" is the easy way out. This title drought started when the guy was three years old.

If you want to keep changing quarterbacks all the time trying to find the answer you become Cleveland or Washington. Dallas does not have "the best" in Dak but they certainly have someone good enough. Maybe the coaches need to do a better job putting him in advantageous situations in big games instead of waiting on him to become Mahomes 2.0.
I generally agree with you. Dak is certainly not blameless and he’s run out of the benefit of the doubt but I’ve always felt if Dilfer, Flacco, Rypien and Eli can get rings Tony and Dak absolutely could but it just hasn’t happened.

Im convinced we have flawed organization that manifests itself in big games. I can’t put my finger on how but it’s there and the finger always points at Jerry. If somebody asks me to prove it I can’t - but I can look at 30 years of calendars and make a pretty good case.

Just 27 TDs? What is this, 1986?

All kidding aside. I just don't want him to lose any games for us. Or to be a strong contributor towards that end.

I think it hasn't happened because we haven't had the better team. Have we not won the playoff games we should have won? The one against the Packers in 2016 is debatable, but that's probably the only playoff game we lost during Dak's time here that I thought we had the better team. But sometimes these elite QBs are better at bridging the gap.

Dak isn't going to be the reason we beat a better team. It will have to be a team effort. Just don't be the reason we lose.

Plenty of SB winning QB's are still questioned \ criticized.

Sure there is a lot of overly negative people but it is fair to judge each player based on their contributions.

A team win doesn't necessarily mean the QB did anything worthy of changing the fans perception of his individual play.

That's all fine and good, but I'd be happy if he stopped making stupid plays like throwing the ball to a defensive lineman or being suckered into throwing into double/triple coverage.

Just settle down and think...for one second for a change.

If Dak HELPS this team, win a super bowl...you think people wouldn't give him credit?

That's just stupid and crazy thoughts.

Maybe you should allow Dak to actually do that...at least ONCE...before you give yourself so much credit about being so negative and nasty about it,.
Amen somebody finally had to say it
