Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked on @1053thefan if the Jets have reached out with interest in Dallas' backup QB Cooper Rush or QB3 Trey Lance:

"I can't imagine what it would be (to make that type of trade). But the facts are, just as they do, we could need Rush in a play. And we did last year. We did the year before. Boy, especially when you got all the promise we got, to compromise yourself with the depth at that position would be very unlikely."

I don’t see why they would want Cooper Rush or Trey Lance. Rush isn’t anything special and Lance isn’t ready to play. I’m sure they would prefer Wilson over either one of them. Wilson wasn’t great last night, but he led them to a win.

A very sensible answer from Jerry that one.

I have frequently read or heard talk that the two front offices don't play nice together. Maybe from failed Jammal Adams trade or something like that.

I would be completely shocked if the Jets were panic calling teams about QBs right now. They're 1-0 with a 3rd year former 1st round pick. They'd be dumb not to wait and see how this all plays out.

Wait a few games. Then let's talk about Wilson.

Exactly right. Jerral Wayne wants to win. His answer is right on the money.

They already have their version of Lance. This is huge opportunity for Wilson to pull his head out of his butt and reach that high pick potential.

Seems like the writing is on the wall. A team just lost their franchise QB on the first play and we should trade our reserves? We finally have more quality depth.
