If the Jets call the Cowboys, they'll probably end up tricking Jerruh into giving them 2 or 3 first rounders for Zach Wilson.

Jerruh is like the broke guy you see at the grocery store, dumping his kid's lunch money into the lotto ticket machine, just waiting to strike it rich.

SOMEBODY HAS TO WIN....WHY NOT ME?

Even if he does he will still suck. And i watched him last night.
Very possible he is horrible again, but I still think they have to be patient, see what he does over the next few weeks and go from there. Maybe he can keep the Jets around 500 until week 6 or 7 and by then maybe a better QB becomes available. I didn't look up any contract numbers as these are just off the top of my head but maybe a Stafford or Cousins becomes available? Seems crazy to me that the Jets would be calling on the Cooper Rush's of the NFL. The only calls they should be making are to the recently retired guys to see if they have any interest and want to spend the next few weeks getting in shape just in case.

I've seen earlier comments mentioning Stafford.
The Rams just went up to Seattle and beat the Seahawks.
It's the first game; but if they bounce back from the disasterous 2022 and are doing well, why would LAR trade their QB?

For sure a lot could happen and there is a very good chance that LA has zero interest in moving him. Just saying that is one possibility of a team that could elect to start a tear down if things go south over the first third to half of the year. I could also see guys like Tannehill, Cousins, Mayfield, etc coming available. Those just seem like stronger options to me than going after a Cooper Rush type and it seems to be a better strategy to wait it out until closer to the trade deadline IMO.

Can he ever just answer the question?

"yes they have contacted us"
"no they have not contacted us"

Or do they always just quote half of his answers on Twitter?
No simple answers for...that's being responsible and not blowing smoke.

For draft picks and tanking the season.

Plus - if the Jets' seaaon goes like it did in 2022, they could be in a good spot for the 2024 draft - that is predicted to have good QBs available.
Because of the Rodgers' season-ending injury, the Jets retain their 1st round pick I believe.
They can draft quarterbacks like at Texas and Colorado...

For draft picks and tanking the season.
Sunday they start a tough stretch, with three out of the next four versus Forty-Niners, @ Bengals, Eagles - and an early Sunday eastern time game @ Colts.
But after that - Rams host Cardinals and Steelers.
Trade deadline is October 31st - two days after a road game against the Cowboys.
If they are 4-4, or better...do they pull the plug in your opinion?
