Jay Norvell's coaching tonight was a perfect example of why some coaches are great during the week but terrible once the lights turn on and the popcorn starts popping. They had the perfect game plan to win and they even came out extra motivated. But so many penalties, turnovers, and defensive meltdowns cost them. I know these are two teams that weren't good last year but any decent team should have blown out Colorado once they lost Hunter.

What was it? Like 18 penalties almost 200 yards? LOL

Yeah, probably would have won if had kept those down. There’s definitely some talent on that Colorado State team.

But like Coach Prime said. Resiliency. A W is a W. Some teams know how to win, and the more I watch Shadeur, the more I think he knows how to win too.

Early reports are Hunter is out a few weeks. That sucks. Against USC and Oregon without their best player. Both ways too.

Football is a game of emotion, and he had his team super amped but the very emotion that kept them in the game also lost it for them.

They also burned up so much emotional fuel for this game that I am not sure how they fare the next couple weeks.
CSU could end up having a really poor season.

Oregon is no joke and this week will tough for the Buffs but I am pulling for them.

Now there's a scandal that Alabama's defensive coordinator has been quietly dismissed and the defensive backs coach is calling the plays? When the mighty fall, it happens fast.

Here's a little bit of trivia for you. When was the last time that Alabama was not in the Top 10?

Try 2015.

Wonder if Saban's backside is getting a little warm?
Not yet. He has built up too much cred over the last 15 years.

BUT if they were to lose like four games this season and end up in a Tier 2 bowl he will be pressured to revamp his staff significantly.

Whole Big 12 was pulling for the 'Eers.
Cue Country Roads.

We are up next in Morgantown.
Neil Brown has yet to come up with a winning formula vs Tech.
Although I hope it happens this season for obvious reasons, I doubt it will.

WVA looks very competent in what many thought would be a 2-3 win season with Brown being dumped by years end.
Tech has woes on offense and this game is in Morgantown so it'll be a tough one.
Tech is a good run stuff team with 2 massive DTs so that offers a bit more hope than if they passed it well as Tech gets near zero pass pressure with Tyree Wilson off to the Raiders..

Its really easy to get sucked into your own team and I definitely thought Tech was set up for a big year but DTs aside virtually every group and underperformed to this point.
These two teams have to both be glad to get to conference play.

Penn St plus Pitt is a nuts non-conf and Oregon then Wyoming at 7220 feet isn't much better.

There are some great games slated today. I think Colorado has a tall task ahead just to cover the spread. Notre Dame will knock down OSU a peg or two today

Being an Irish Fan since 1970 I still get the shakes when we play a top team. Especially OSU which we have not beaten in way too long.

I think we have a real shot today.

1st Colorado game I watched, they got quite a few below average players. Oregon exposed them quickly.

WVU finally beats tech with Neil Brown as HC.
We really need a new HC.
He calls offense and we have had back to back games under 100 yards passing.
Defense has stepped up. But I have very little confidence in HC to have a winning season.
