Kicker Brandon Aubrey made NFL history in his first three games

Man, you make a statistic on just about anything.

is it a good sign or bad sign that our best FA acquistion is the kicker?
It's good that they are a very good team and have a good kicker. It's also a good sign that so many people are negative and are very vocal with ridiculous takes. Just like last year after game 1.

Every time he’s out on the field I think of Dandy Don Meredith. #17.

The fact that he's kicking so many is not great, but he's been reliable.

I hope I didn't just jinx him. :muttley:

Thanks Jake for providing that informative nugget.

Kudos to the Cowboys scouting branch for acquiring this former outstanding collegiate soccer player (Norte Dame), who went on to help his USFL team be back-to-back champions.

honestly its a coping mechanism at this point and i feel many are the same way...good to be able to come on here, make a skeptical / sacrcastic comment, see that others are venting the same, then check the usual suspects and poke around for any new news...

its part of dealing with the week in week out ebbs and flows of being a fan.

the fanbase isn't real pleased with Sunday's game against the Cards...and rightly so.

True and it would be one thing if it was "We got beat by the better team", but they flat out mailed that game in before it started from the coaches to the waterboy..thats unacceptable.

I don't think they meant to lose, they just got beat up by a team and coaching staff that was better prepared and ready for battle. I have seen the Cowboys do it to other teams and we will see it again. Go Cowboys.

I read that he sucked on here and the Cowboys were morons because they didn't sign a veteran.
Every day this off season there were many people complaining that the Cowboys are screwing up the team by not signing kickers. The two biggest concerns were the OL and kicking. We need a proven vet. We're risking the season. It will cost us games. It went on and on. I don't trust this guy. I have no faith. Why should I trust the Cowboys.

I remember when the story came out about Aubrey and how the Cowboys have followed him and knew about him. They invested way more than anyone knew into him and felt comfortable enough to move forward with him. Next thing you know, the Cowboys have a pretty solid kicker. Kickoffs are deep and FG's go closely down the middle each time.

I just wish the stupid announcers would stop saying, after missing his first extra point he has now made 12 kicks in a row. After missing his first extra point he has now made 13 kicks in a row. After missing his first extra point he has now made 14 kicks in a row. Good grief.
