Something weird happened yesterday and Ty Smith looked pissed about it. Multiple times the camera caught him pacing the sidelines looking like he was ready to slap someone.

It didn't make any sense that he wasn't out there playing when he was suited up and named a C for the game. I got to thinking about it and then I remembered, his contract. His contract is set up to pay out up to 9 million more in playing time incentives. 1 mil each for each level from 55-90% in 5% increments.

So did we really just keep on of our best lineman on the bench to try and avoid paying some of those incentives out at the end of the season?

The look on his face yesterday says that is exactly what was happening.

So why suit him up and name him a captain? ZM and TB were both in street clothes. Why bother suiting him up if he was too hurt to play? And then not use him when things were obviously not going our way on offense.

It seems obvious to me they wanted him to get fully healthy. I get that logic
The oline didn’t play that bad considering. I was really worried about Hoffman starting at center but he didn’t play all that bad to me

Because in case of an emergency they could risk further injury

If incentives was the case, the shadow of Dak's money looms large over our other personnel...

I’m not local…..is there actually anything to the idea that Jerry made the call to rest players or is it BS?

I wouldn't put anything past the Jones boys to be honest.

I've seen Tyron Smith injured on the sidelines quite a bit over the years and that's just how he acts when he can't go in. I don't think he was mad at anyone, just frustrated.

Named Captain on Thursday, injured Friday, tried to go, not healthy enough to play......end of story
The look on his face says he felt otherwise. If it was anything more than a boo boo they would have ordered MRIs, to my knowledge that didn't happen?

I think Tyron could have went but they are SO afraid that he will get injured they are were holding him back because Tyler was back. But you lost or sat your starting center and RG and LT and expected what against a team that puts up points.

And our Defense looked bad. Just slow reacting..

He looks kind of angry naturally so maybe you're right. Just didn't look like someone with an actual leg injury stalking around over there.

Hurt his knee friday, listed on the injury report, woke up Satruday his knee was worse, dressed to test see if he could go in warmups, game time decision, couldn't, end of story, stop with the ridiculous conspiracy theories
