I think he wanted to play but chicken Mike said "no". Why dress if you can't go??
I didn't read any of that scenario saying it got worse Saturday and he was a GTD. You have a link to that? I'll admit if I'm proven wrong here. Otherwise when it comes to cap boy trying to save money assuming we'd win without him...I've heard much more ridiculous conspiracy theories here.Hurt his knee friday, listed on the injury report, woke up Satruday his knee was worse, dressed to test see if he could go in warmups, game time decision, couldn't, end of story, stop with the ridiculous conspiracy theories
So you seem to be saying they didn't play Tyron because they were afraid he would get hurt and wouldn't be able to play...smdhI think Tyron could have went but they are SO afraid that he will get injured they are were holding him back because Tyler was back. But you lost or sat your starting center and RG and LT and expected what against a team that puts up points.
And our Defense looked bad. Just slow reacting..
He had his warts, Hoffman that is. A lot was cleaned up with help pulling guards dual combos, even heard Dak Audible to one at one point. It seems obvious to me they wanted him to get fully healthy. I get that logic
The oline didn’t play that bad considering. I was really worried about Hoffman starting at center but he didn’t play all that bad to me
Do you have evidence for your theory?I didn't read any of that scenario saying it got worse Saturday and he was a GTD. You have a link to that? I'll admit if I'm proven wrong here. I'm sure they would've played him incase of an emergency. It's week 3, and I'm sure he wanted to go in, but why risk losing him for a longer period of time?So why suit him up and name him a captain? ZM and TB were both in street clothes. Why bother suiting him up if he was too hurt to play? And then not use him when things were obviously not going our way on offense.
Something weird happened yesterday and Ty Smith looked pissed about it. Multiple times the camera caught him pacing the sidelines looking like he was ready to slap someone.
It didn't make any sense that he wasn't out there playing when he was suited up and named a C for the game. I got to thinking about it and then I remembered, his contract. His contract is set up to pay out up to 9 million more in playing time incentives. 1 mil each for each level from 55-90% in 5% increments.
So did we really just keep on of our best lineman on the bench to try and avoid paying some of those incentives out at the end of the season?
The look on his face yesterday says that is exactly what was happening.

Biggest concern with him on a short week was OL calls, which is why we pulled alot of plays out the book this week.
Thought Bass had a solid game, it was Chuma at tackle that really hurt
The Cardinals came to win.I think Tyron could have went but they are SO afraid that he will get injured they are were holding him back because Tyler was back. But you lost or sat your starting center and RG and LT and expected what against a team that puts up points.

Nah, just throwing out my thoughts and observations of what looked to be a pretty pissed off player, set against the backdrop of his contract which is heavily based on playing time incentives. Heck, they may have even told him they wouldn't count this against him for all I know.Do you have evidence for your theory?
I'd heard on a Cowboys show that it was a progressive thing with his knee.
Probably right, I've become a cynic in my old age and seeing him stewing and then the thought of his contract jumped into my head so I thought...hmm, maybe? Not a chance. They sat him to keep him healthy and clearly he felt he could and should be out there.
He did look mad, but he could have just as easily been made at his knee.Nah, just throwing out my thoughts and observations of what looked to be a pretty pissed off player, set against the backdrop of his contract which is heavily based on playing time incentives. Boy, I gotta say THIS IS A STRETCH.Something weird happened yesterday and Ty Smith looked pissed about it. Multiple times the camera caught him pacing the sidelines looking like he was ready to slap someone.

Yeah...I used to believe that too. I think he just wants us to be relevant enough to dominate the airwaves. The airwaves make money. You're right in that it may be a stretch, but I don't think it's a leap of faith at all. Shady **** happens in this league, something like that would not exactly blow my mind.Boy, I gotta say THIS IS A STRETCH.
Jerry Jones would probably sell his soul to win another Lombardi. Yes, he is the Godfather of the NFL at whoring out a franchise… ‘the official condom of the Dallas Cowboys’… but it’s hard to register that he doesn’t wanna win another championship in his lifetime. No matter how many ways he looks for opportunities to rake cash - he wants to win. Unfortunately, he persists in inserting himself into the FOOTBALL OPERATIONS. Instead of sticking to straight marketing ops. Built-in FAIL.
NFL rules require 8 active OL on game day. One of the three who didn't play had to be active along with the two called up from the practice squad.Something weird happened yesterday and Ty Smith looked pissed about it.
