Dak Prescott on Terence Steele

The last time Steele had a game this bad was the 2021 opener against Tampa.. after which he turned it around to become arguably a top 5-10 RT in the league the rest of the year.. It would not surprise me to see him bounce back to be honest.

Brady would of ran him under the bus and got the kids out so they could see the replay.....

Yeah I hope we are seriously weighing other options. Nothing like hopefully making the playoffs and a team with a good DE beats Steele for 3-4 sacks again. I mean I could see if he just had 1 bad game but Steele has been terrible all year. It's time to give someone else a shot. This is when coaching matters. Got to know when to hold and when to fold on a player.

Hope so. I think that knee is not even close to being 90 percent.

He’s playing likely because of politics.

It's not one bad game. He's been consistently bad all year. He's rated like 73rd out of 77 Tackles by PFF for pass blocking. And you might not care for their system but it definitely aligns with what we've been seeing on the field all season from him.

...Ron, he's been below avg, for most of the year. Whether he's hurt, or has regressed.

MM should acknowledge the situation, get someone else taking reps. Latter part of tough schedule is up in Dec.

Gotta have OL, cooking by then.

As long as Smith stays healthy on the left, we can work with Steele on the Right. We can provide help to one side, when needed. It is harder to do when you need to help both sides. And it is the speed guys that are going to give him issues. We should be chipping more to slow down the outside rush of the speed guys.

Dak will get himself killed long before any of the OL. His pocket awareness is no where to be found and I swear he thinks it is a mortal sin to throw the ball away. 35-50% of sacks could be avoided if he would just throw the ball away.
lol

You may need to update your talking points as his awareness was the only reason we were even in that game this week.

I had the same complaint Sunday. That is, until looking at the slow-motion replays. On the critical sacks, any semblance of pass protection on the right side of the OL was catastrophically breached in less than two seconds. Giving Dak little choice between eating the ball, or risking an intentional grounding penalty, fumble or INT.

Shore up that right side, and DAL wins that game going away.
