Got paid and got hurt and now 1st year back. Not looking good because he is not healed enough to trust the knee. Gallup is the same way. Now he trusts the knee but for some reason has not kept up on his catching skills.

Yeah I hope we are seriously weighing other options. Nothing like hopefully making the playoffs and a team with a good DE beats Steele for 3-4 sacks again. I mean I could see if he just had 1 bad game but Steele has been terrible all year. It's time to give someone else a shot. This is when coaching matters. Got to know when to hold and when to fold on a player.

Well...we all will find out soon enough if Terence Steele can suddenly improve his game. We all know it's because of his previous torn ACL. This next game or two or three will determine if Steele can physically improve or needs some time off to heal his knee better. In the meantime, I hope Asim Richards is getting reps in practice at Right Tackle just in case he needs to come in.

By the way, what ever happened to Waletzko?

Steele is simply not healthy yet. He's less than a year from ACL surgery, and he moved way better before he got hurt.
It's not one bad game. He's been consistently bad all year. He's rated like 73rd out of 77 Tackles by PFF for pass blocking. And you might not care for their system but it definitely aligns with what we've been seeing on the field all season from him.
...Ron, he's been below avg, for most of the year. Whether he's hurt, or has regressed.

MM should acknowledge the situation, get someone else taking reps. Latter part of tough schedule is up in Dec.

Gotta have OL, cooking by then.
Let's see how the rest of the goes for Steele.
Does he get vet Wednesday's practice off - or could he bel listed DNP for an injury - followed up with a DNP \ limited status on Thursday, and deemed questionable for Sunday's game?

Yes Dak use your feet, save your career it can, Don't listen to the dark side and try to be a pocket passer.

The last time Steele had a game this bad was the 2021 opener against Tampa.. after which he turned it around to become arguably a top 5-10 RT in the league the rest of the year.. It would not surprise me to see him bounce back to be honest.
I hope he does, I'll bet Dak hopes he does as well.

Micah needs to stop being such a pansey and play both sides of the ball.

Even a bad Steele is far better than anything else we could run out there thanks to the gm never taking the OL depth as future starters philosophy. He prefers the bandaid this year and another bandaid next year approach. That said, since Steele is all we have, even our backup guards are garbage, the team has to support him and help build him up.

He might not ever be back.

That injury was brutal.
Terence Steele will get better.

You can't have a complete Pro Olineman strength and conditioning off-season rehabbing an ACL.

The injury happened Week 13 December 12th 2022.....it hasn't even been a calendar year!!

Infact, if the Cowboys continue to contend for the tournament....Steele will be a year removed. Psychologically..... it's important

The next time someone has a brutal acl or knee injury at the end of the year. Can we please not give him a huge contract right after the injury.

anythings possible bit that was pre injury. I think the cowboys rushed him back and we will not see pre injury steele either again or not until next year. keep in mind his strength was in run blocking he has always been suspect on the edges in pass protection. Not unacceptable just suspect

Maybe he is still hurt?
Even if not hurt being 100% healthy does not equal being back to full strength, range of motion, etc. People forget just how long and hard an athlete has to work to get to their peak. It was years, not months or weeks. When all the strength and flexibility is taken away by an injury it's not coming right back for anybody not named Adrian Peterson.

lol

You may need to update your talking points as his awareness was the only reason we were even in that game this week.
Lol you are blind or need glasses, his pocket awareness is horrible anyone that’s not a homer can see this and has seen this. Matter of fact after last years demise I don’t even understand why homers still don’t have the heads buried in the sand. Y’all’s privileges should be revoked
