And they admit it. Recently they said the best thing that happened last year was winning that last game that lost them the #1 pick. They would have taken Young as well. He was ranked #1, and Stroud also had the OhioSt baggage around his neck.
Wow. LOL. Trying to think of other 1,2 QB drafts like that where second team was lucky they didn’t pick the consensus #1. I feel like there should have been another draft that went like that too with as many times as QB has been the 1,2 pick.

His HC is Frank Reich. Weapons or no, he has 0 chance. Reich is not the answer and yes, Bryce has a long way to go.

We will feast on a drumstick called Bryce Young, all game. The defense will score and make Daks job real easy Sunday. We might have the backups in there starting in the 4th quarter.

I hope so. Dak killed it for me in my FFL last week. I'm expecting the same.

WR Moore was part of the trade package the Panthers did with the Bears to obtain Chicago's overall No. 1 2023 pick - used to select Bryce Young.
They just threw Moore in bc they didn’t want to pay him. It’s looking like a horrific trade for Carolina. The Bears are in position to dominate the draft. Right now they have the 2 and 3rd overall picks. They could have a Texans type turnaround with that kind of draft Capitol. Meanwhile, Carolina has none to build around Bryce.

The sad thing for the Panthers is they may end up with the number one overall pick and a chance at an even better QB. Can’t imagine they would take Williams after just using the number one overall pick on Young but they have to be really regretting their decision to trade up to number one overall last year. One part of the trade that really hurt them was having to give up DJ Moore, their best receiver, who could’ve really helped Bryce Young this season.
Actually, they traded their pick to the bears, genius. With all your talk about having intelligent conversations , I expected more. Lol

They won’t end up with the #1 pick as they traded Chicago that pick. Chicago is now in the drivers seat. Keep Justin Fields and trade that pick for multiple picks, trade Fields on a rookie contract for picks and draft Caleb. They also have their own #1 pick……they could conceivably get Caleb and Marvin Harrison Jr…..wowza

That offense is terrible. The QB needs real weapons. Young has the smarts to be very good, but the severe lack of offensive talent and a poor Oline are a bigger problem than the QBs learning curve at the moment.
Exactly.

I hope he doesn't have his break-out game this week against Dallas.

I’ve seen very little of Young. Some guys that fail aren’t total trash, but simply aren’t ready to start immediately.

Zack Wilson is in that category IMO.

Just difficult to do considering the contract situation with high draft picks and need for teams drafting high to get things going sooner than later.

Teams in general could do a much better job at determining if someone can step in right away or not, and draft accordingly.

If a guy like Tony Romo wasn’t allowed to sit for a few years before being thrown into the fire, he probably would have been out of the league before long.

I totally forgot about the Panthers trading the farm to Chicago for that pick last year. Still can’t believe they made that move and parted with DJ Moore as part of the deal. It’s really come back to bite them.

I watched CJ Shroud work out during the combine. It reminded me similar to Maholmes workout. He may not have the arm of Maholmes. But he seems the prototypical pro QB from what my TV screen was telling me.

Bryce reminded me of a Mac Jones workout but worst. No arm strength, slow footed and doesn't look very athletic at all. The product of a system that churns out NFL players each year by the dozen.

The Bears have the Panthers pick. Even if the Panthers still had the pick, it would be hard for them to pull the trigger on another QB in back to back years. They would have to trade Bryce Young. It was a dumb move for them to trade the farm, including their best receiver when there wasn’t a clear cut consensus number one QB.

bryce young stinks

idk what panthers was thinking with that trade up and pick

bryce young does not have 1 singel plus physical atribute for a nfl qb

body/size no, arm talent no, legs no, foot work no

he look like a little kid

they say he have a super processor and super high iq idk about that one!
:hammer: I laughed out loud when the Panthers traded up....to give up that much. This was right after the combine...which Richardson blew everyone away. I thought the Panthers were going after their next Cam Newton...Well...Can't blame them there...they needed a QB...Fell in love.

Boy was I shocked when they took this guy...

Seriously think they could have stayed right where they were...and Young would have fell to them.

Now look what it has cost them....not only their #1 WR....But also Caleb Williams

Honestly...that GM should be fired...just for making that stupid of a deal. Talk about getting fleeced. And what really compounds it more....I don't think the GM in Chicago is that bright either...lol.
