Btw.... I remember his great college year too. Dak played with 10 other grocer baggers on offense.... guys whose names their mothers can't spell. On defense, he had Chris Jones and Preston Smith, but that's pretty much all. Lots of people thought Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay were on the team... but they weren't.

That team had no business being #1 in the nation. Honestly, he had one bad game all year...... to Alabama. They lost to Ole Miss because the story of Dak's career is that his defense folds. Otherwise they're 11-1 and had a chance at the playoffs.

People act like Dak was a bum in college. He wasn't. In fact, he had a far more impressive career than Jalen Hurts. Hurts was benched in the national championship game. Tua was the one who actually won it. And NEVER won a championship at Alabama. Imagine being in Alabama and never winning a championship. Give Dak Alabama's roster.... I guarantee you he wins 3.

Yep this exactly. I hope dak stays this hot but this is exactly what he has always done. He's a streaky player that folds against the best teams, until he can overcome that my opinion of Dak doesn't change one bit.

I agree. I’m glad he admitted he was wrong but overall I just don’t like the guy. At least he acknowledged Dak has improved. But I think I’d rather watch wet paint dry than watch Colin.

This is not entire true. Cowherd has flip flopped back and forth with his stance on Dak to stay where the wind is blowing. One thing he has not changed though is that he has always maintained that "Dak is a grownup" when referencing how some other QBs and players handle the media, the spotlight, off the field stuff and on the field adversity. And in Dak's case the added pressure of being QB of the Dallas Cowboys. I think he has always had Dak somewhere in the top 10 QBs as well. Putting him in the top 5 now is just facing facts. Frankly at this point in the season Dak should be in the top 1. Nobody is playing better. Not even Purdy.. Just look at what Dak did to the Seattle defense then look at what Purdy did against them a week ago if you doubt it. 209 yards, 1 TD and a pick 6 versus Dak's 299 yards, 4 TDs and no picks. I know it bothers a lot of people here but Dak is outplaying every other QB on the planet. Deal with it.

What I don't get is the accuracy. Dak routinely missed guys by a little. A little high or behind them, etc. He has been dead on with a ton of his throws recently. He is either throwing it into really small windows or hitting guys right in their hands, in stride, regularly. Its not normal for a guy in his 8th year to suddenly become more accurate.

Just to speculate, last year Jimmy Johnson was asked about the interceptions. He said Dak needs a "clean pocket". During the Moore years but last year in particular, Dak held the ball a while and frequently got pressure in the middle. This year the O line seems to push the pressure around Dak more. Add in the fact that Dak is passing much quicker this year means he is getting to step into his throws more.

The other aspect is I regularly see Dak moving around the defense with his head. He looks off safeties far more this year.

Dak deserves a ton of credit here. He is turning me into a believer. This is not the same guy as before. I don't completely know the root causes but McCarthy probably deserves some of the credit for creating a more Dak friendly system.

For reference, Dak this year has the lowest "bad throw" % in the NFL. Last year he had the 22nd lowest %. There are a ton of objective metrics that say that this is the best Dak has ever played, with the second best his rookie year.

QB is a very mental position. He’s finally arrived. 30 years old now and still athletic.

We don’t believe the fringe element even if you have a TV network echoing your Dak Hate.
