The NFL teaches another lesson

You never look at the schedule and count wins or losses. The cards win in Philly reinforces the NFLs greatest lesson taught every year: You never know what’s going to happen.

As we look at Wash next week with the division there for the taking, here’s hoping the Cowboys will be at their best. Because the NFL constantly reminds us that we can’t count wins ahead of time.
I've been saying that Arizona could beat them for weeks.

Philly didn't watch the tape on the DAL @ ARI game. They should have studied it and taken the Cards seriously. :lmao:
They did take them seriously. The Eagles aren't very good. Their secondary isn't good enough to win. They should have lost another game or 2.

Washington would love to spoil things for the Cowboys, but from a practical standpoint shouldn't they be more interested in securing a higher draft pick?

Not saying they should throw the game but they have nothing at stake but pride. Hopefully a lot of their players mentally pack it in and are thinking about the offseason ahead.

We should expect a war. The Cowboys should treat it like their first playoff game.

Wouldn’t it be fitting if we dropped a turd in Maryland . We aren’t playing that well so it wouldn’t be a total shock .

We are backing into the division from help from Zona, Egirls spiraling down worse than us and of course officials major blunder and Dumb Dan.

I’m giving Jimmy's induction credit . Football gods are looking in again.

It would be awesome if they win and win 1st playoff game and then get 2nd playoff game at home.
If we win division we will get the Divisional round at home if we win WC round .

2 seed guarantees first two playoff games at home .

Exhibit A: January 8, 2023 - week 18 - Dallas 6, Washington 26.

The good thing is, home or away this year, the Cowboys have beaten up on all the bad teams they played except the Cardinals. Hopefully they continue it next week in Washington.
The 5-11 Chargers played us close .

We heard weeks ago the Cowboys had zero chance to catch the Eagles so just settle for the 5 seed on this forum
Actually, we heard the Cowboys had a poor or unlikely or doubtful chance. A few maybe said zero chance, but I don't recall any.

But as many have said, "That's why you play the games"...

So e can’t come next week either. Cold and maybe snow, might be a challenge. We really need to bring the intensity
We need to play it like a playoff game. Bring it with that intensity. A lot of riding on next week and getting a win, on the road, on grass will greatly improve our seeding and psyche.

You said we didn’t have any close games to bad teams. You didn’t offer at the time.

The point is they were spiraling with Herbert. Loss to us and they continued spiraling more.

It would have more factually correct to state we blew out all of the below .500 teams we faced this year but the Chargers. Then there’s no backlash after the fact.

When I read your post I simply thought you’d missed that tidbit.
How do you know what I offered at that time. The Chargers weren't a bad team when we played them.
