Game Day ***Cowboys vs Commanders Pre Game Thread***

Commanders have several key starters out, especially on Defense. No excuse not to win this game. No time for slacking off either. Take it seriously. Division title and homefield advantage for at least the first 2 playoff rounds is at stake. No better opportunity in many years to take care of business and make some noise in the playoffs. There is no tomorrow. There is only today. Go kick some butt, stay focused, stay hungry, stay safe but come out with a win.

I want to see clean and mean
....no major penalties and push these guys around...don't have to dominate, just control and get out with the win

Here's my concern
Sometimes backups play harder than starters.
Players admire Rivera, it's his last game.
Will we be prepared or just show up expecting them to fold?
Honestly I'm leaning towards just resting, avoiding injuries, let the cards fall.
Better that then showing up half arsed, get caught in a ambush and risk injury.

The hell with resting - go at these guys hard, dominate the trenches, control top, score enough to make it comfortable in the second half and play keep away.

Home field as the 2nd means a path to the nfcc game, losing here means a road path that will be extremely difficult.

This is a playoff game for all intents and purposes

It's the mentality of the situation. If we cannot get up for and win this game, then we're not winning in the playoffs. This is essentially our first playoff game.

You know the 17 games went by really fast and it's kind of a sad day given this is the last day of the regular season and we know what can happen in the playoffs they could be over in a blink of an eye.. This is why I never understood why fans can't appreciate each and every single week that we're playing no matter who we're playing no matter the result because the offseason is super long...

So while there is still a lot to accomplish with a win today, we're already in the playoffs,

I got to say I'm a little down knowing the seasons not far from being over and we're going to have a very long offseason bickering at each other on what went wrong and how to fix it and then we got to revisit every bad narrative we ever heard about Jerry ,Mike McCarthy ,and Prescott, because that's what all will be talked about this offseason.....

but for today!!

Go Cowboys! :flagwave:

I can't believe the regular season ends today. Nothing happens faster then an NFL football season.
Exactly that's why I posted earlier it's kind of a sad day it goes by so fast and I never understood how fans can appreciate each and every week win or lose you should be looking forward to every single game because it's the longest offseason ever in any sport..
