They weren’t the problem it DQ crummy hybrid defense that caused the problems. Also not built to play from behind and this was suppose to be a shootout. The defense was going up against a good offense our offense was going up against a crummy defense. Ergo offense was key in this game and defense is an excuse to shy away from the real problem of the last eight years
