Didn’t see this coming. Ben Johnson staying they had to pivot. Hope we get someone exciting to replace him.

There is excitement in just knowing there is forced change. Not saying his replacement will be better, but just knowing we're not running it back AGAIN is something I'm looking forward to.

With practically everything. There have been so many things said of what Jones would do but never did that it stopped being funny a long time ago. Some people put themselves in Jones shoes, instead of looking back at what the man has done for decades and basing his tendencies for what he might do.

Jones has likely thrown enough money at McCarthy that convinced him to endure it.

I think it's a big loss for us. Mostly because he was the best we are gonna get. Jerry is going to either promote from within, because it's the cheapest and easiest option, or he's going to force a friend or retread on Mike to make him 'uncomfortable'.

Regardless of how it ended, we were lucky to have someone of Quinn's caliber and now we are destined for the likes or Marinelli, Nolan, etc

Meh, Quinn's defenses when it mattered were no different than our past failures at DC. Especially in the playoffs. They got bullied and dominated. Never made the plays needed. Quinn feasted off bottom tier offenses to prop his unit up.

In our playoff game, we played zone the entire game. Never once adjusted to their receivers running open all game. He never really ever adjusted to what the opposing offense was doing to us.

I have no idea what happened to the Cowboys defense but somewhere along the line we went from being an aggressive pressure defense that forces turnovers, to a soft bend then break defense. I wonder if Quinn has wanted out for a while. And if so, for what reason?

Now we need to see what Jerry does to replace him. I would like the Cowboys to find someone with a little more attention to detail. Someone of seeing things before they happen and then makes adjustments. Out team is always getting outsmarted by the better teams in the league.

Dak has sucked. So has Quinn. Quinn drafted Mazi for a run stopper and had him lose 50 lbs. It seems like you are ok making excuses for someone you like but not for someone you dont.

HC is a completely different skillset than Coordinator. Even if you’re calling the defensive plays, you don’t have nearly the time to commit to the defense as needed. The DC he hires will determine his success in Washington
