I really hate how he's been villified after the turnaround he oversaw. yeah there were warts, and disappointment, but I'll miss him and hate him going to a division rival.
Completely changed his scheme from what he used to run in Seattle and Atlanta in comparison to Dallas. I thought he would be bad here based on drafting in Atlanta and how their defense was, but he showed flexibility in schemes each year he was here.

Team was doomed with and without him.

If anything, I’m more worried about the fact that our division rivals have our former OC’s and DC’s (KM in Philly and now DQ in Washington). They can attack the small things they’ve noticed from our players.
They will not make a big difference. Philly and Washington have more problems than just coaching.
Philly fell apart and it was not just coaching.
Washington has some decent talent. Their offense can be much better with a better QB. They traded away some of their DL.

wonder how we could get Washington's second overall pick in the draft. Who could we trade to them that quinn would want?
Someone that spends too much time talking and tweeting? :muttley:
And they need to throw in a 2nd rounder too. Maybe with 2 - 2nd round picks, they will finally get one right. Or is that giving them too much credit.

Go get Vrabel. He fixes Micah immediately, and we can draft us a linebacker. Let him coach him up. It makes too much sense.

That is not true.

Bengals, Rams 2x, 49ers 2x, Tampa etc.
LOL.

That Bengals team was horrible and didnt turn it on until mid season.
The rams. Same thing.
Tampa? You mean the game Dak threw 5 TDs?

Lets look at something else.

Lets look at defensive performance without the lead.

You dont want to look at those numbers. Trust me.

MM is on a lame duck 1 year contract at this point with no extension coming. Anyone new coming in would essentially be here for 1 year.. unless there's an agreement with Jerry that they would be the next HC. So given that, I think it would have to be a promotion from within. Harris is gone. Whitt is the logical-- and maybe more importantly-- the easy answer for ol' Jerr.

According to PFF, the Bengals' Lou Anarumo is the best defensive coordinator. PFF also ranks the Belichicks as the top defensive coordinator(s) in the league, even though the New England Patriots' defensive coordinator spot is technically unoccupied.
Some other notable defensive coordinators include:
Steve Spagnuolo
One of the most decorated defensive coordinators in NFL history, winning three Super Bowls with the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs.
Bill Belichick
Has won six Super Bowls with the Patriots, and his defensive schemes have been dominant for decades.
Tanner Engstrand
The Lions' passing game coordinator, who was previously the DC Defenders offensive coordinator in the XFL in 2020.
Hurtt
Promoted from defensive line coach to coordinator by Seattle in 2022, finishing 25th in points allowed.
Fangio
Best known for his three years as the head coach of the Denver Broncos, and four seasons as the DC of the Chicago Bears.

I’m really not 100% sold on harris either…he has zero experience designing or calling a scheme, he’s a former player who the current players like but I’m not sure that’s gonna be a home run either. Just as likely to fail as he does succeed

I will say it again, for the reason u just stated, we can't rule out JJ firing Mike afterall. The landscape has changed drastically with Quinn leaving and taking like half our staff with him. That may be enough to sway Jerry into changing his mindset.
