This was a great move by the Jets to protect Rodgers after last year's wasted season.

there’s no way you can tell me this team is better without Tyron on it. When he plays he’s a top guy at his position and a beast. He’s been injured too much but they should have done an incentive based contract and kept him around.

Just a silly move- it’s compounded even more when you see our lack of moves in free agency and likely will be more so when they move Tyler smith. Team needed to plug holes and add, they’ve taken a pretty glaring step back at this point imo.
I hear you, but you never know when an aging player will simply fall apart, Tyron tears and ACL or Achilles or develops spinal stenosis and has to retire and we'll be glad he didn't have to retire with Dallas depending on him and having no capable backup ready.
I can't fault Dallas entirely for letting him go, how many people here complained about Jerry keeping Witten when it was obvious that even though he was still pretty good, at some point you have to start thinking about the future. Though I wish Tyron could stick with Dallas.

Anyway, best wishes Tyron, when you do retire, please sign a one-day contract and retire as a Cowboy....

Biggest problem Smith has is staying healthy. He's what, 34 now or will be at some point this year? Time to move on from him. Wish him the best though.

Tyron: "I would’ve love to have stayed home in Dallas, but as we all know it’s a business the way it works. I still feel like the #Jets have an opportunity to win it,..."

In other words, "I don't have a snowballs chance of getting a ring with this clown show of a football team"....

I’m hoping Tyron protects Rodgers and they beat KC in the AFC title game to prevent KC from threepeating

I love Tyron. 1st ballot HOF. But you cannot depend on him at this stage of his career. He is only 33 but he came into this league at 20. That's a ton of seasons to play on an OL.
Not really arguing that part. More confused by the plan for the o-line since resigning him last year. Moving Tyler off of LT without a long term plan is crazy. Should have just moved on from Tyron last year to avoid the position dance with Tyler and build continuity on the line

20 million!!! Yeah I feel we did the right thing letting him go. With his injury issues and that deep of a financial commitment would be bad for us. Best of luck Tyron, thanks for being a warrior for us! Nothing but respect for him
