Did Bobby Wagner just never want to join Dallas?

Quinn was our DC for a few years and many times Wagner was brought up as coming here but never did. As soon as Quinn leaves to coach Washington Wagner is right there and signs.

"As it turns out, Quinn was a major factor in Wagner coming to the Commanders as part of a new era under owner Josh Harris."

It’s the same answer every time….

‘It’s cheaper to just draft one.’

Yeah no kidding, while ignoring the obvious.

If we would have signed Wagner, the take would be that he is too old and the Cowboys are stupid.

Wagner also mentioned (in the same SI.com article) interview that Ken Norton Jr. being hired as the Commanders LB coach was just as important in him going to Washington.

Lol nobody would've said that, damn near everyone on this site wanted Wagner. He has been a consistent All pro, led the league in tackles last season and has been one of the most durable players in the league. Yet you're probably praising the Kendricks signing who has had one all pro season (2019), and just a pretty average player

For sure they would. There are people that will bad anything. There are some that bad mouth Kindricks who is a solid player.

Kendrick is average, again one all pro/ pro bowl season. A healthy LVE is a better player

He will do whatever mental gymnastics it takes to defend the front office.

If they were willing to pay him a few years back he probably would of come here over the Rams.

I think it's because of the price tag, and or timing. For the first few days, anyone taken is gone before the Cowboys even start looking. They may take a value guy here or there, but if I'm not mistaken, they pick up the rest after the draft. They don't usually deal with too many FAs approaching the 10M mark.
