Yup it’s been 35 years since we drafted Troy Aikman and he was the last quarterback to win us a Super Bowl. Jerry… hey Jerry are you listening to me Jerry.
There you go. Spencer Rattler at 24 and we are Super Bowl bound. You are a genius.

I mean being drafted in the first round does not tell me they are a good QB. Even the past decade is littered with such misses that Mitch Trubisky is the average 1st round QB (no I am not making that up you can sort the averages yourself).

The vast majority of SB winning QBs were first rounders.

Yet you are the one implying by your snide retort that it is genius to NOT draft a QB in the first round if you want the best chance.
We have 3 qbs right now. A very good starter in Dak and a 1st round backup in Lance and an experienced veteran in Rush.

Let the new coach help draft one he likes in 2025...we'll probably be picking a little higher also.

And a great many were not. All you demonstrated is that scouts are not completely useless at evaluating talent but we have seen they are far from perfect and your draft stock is utterly meaningless once you actually get drafted. All it is is a prediction of what you will be. What you will actually be is up to a combination of the player, the coaches, and luck.

Since we can't get the top ones I would like either Carter Bradley or Phil Jurkovec

He was a second round pick, but Quincy Carter didn’t exactly work out as an early QB pick. I think I prefer to build in the trenches for 5 years before taking the QB early, so he has an OL, a run game, a defense. I get if the QB has crazy arm strength or accuracy and is smart and a fast thinker, but there are also those guys drafted in the mid rounds even late rounds with a chip on their shoulder who turn out to be excellent QBs. You definitely don’t want a WB from a big program like USC, Texas, etc if they think they’re the greatest thing ever and don’t think they need to put in the work. Attitude has a lot to do with it, I guess I’m saying you don’t want the first round QB who peaked in college and has a silver spoon in their mouth.

Dallas isn’t going to carry 4 QBs so that’s out this year, but I’d like to see Dallas go QB on the final day next year. So they can have two years of drafting positional players and setup the QBs for success. Trevor Lawrence hasn’t been to a superbowl yet and he was supposed to be the greatest QB in the last 10 years because Jacksonville as a team sucked.

So what combination of players do we need to actually make Dak a success? The man has had a pretty reasonable squad every year of his career. WR's, RB's, OL's, TE's. What next? Tom Landry's clone as coach? Maybe we can create the copy of Baltimores awesome defense and somehow do it while paying the spare 60 mil a year.

We don’t need to waste a first round pick on a QB we found Dak and Romo….

What people fail to understand is that the offense as it is built can roll with any QB. What you need is a QB that allows you to extend what the offense is fully capable of. Dak isn't it and the predictability of the offense shows just that.
